Quezon City, February 2026 — Tindeli will temporarily close on February 28, 2026, as the Palenque Food Hall at Gateway Mall 2 concludes operations. The Tindeli Gateway Mall expansion begins with this closure.

With the closing of the food hall, Tindeli will be the sole continuing establishment from the enclave and will undergo a significant expansion within its current location. Clearly, Tindeli Gateway Mall expansion is a major step forward for the restaurant.

Originally introduced as a deli-format concept within the shared configuration, Tindeli will expand its footprint to establish a dedicated mall entrance, increased frontage, and clearly defined architectural boundaries. The transformation allows the restaurant to operate independently while maintaining its established Gateway address.

Chef Tatung’s commitment to ingredient-driven Filipino cuisine is evident in every dish served at Tindeli.

More than a renovation, the move marks a defining shift.

Tindeli will reemerge as a 90-seat standalone destination restaurant, establishing it as Chef Tatung’s signature restaurant in Quezon City and his culinary base in the North. Notably, the Tindeli Gateway Mall expansion will bring a more distinct dining experience for guests.

Envisioned as a destination within Araneta Center, the expanded space is designed to welcome a broader dining audience while remaining grounded in ingredient-driven Filipino cooking.

Tindeli’s menu celebrates collaboration with farmers and producers, emphasizing sustainability and quality.

Chef Tatung described the expansion as both strategic and personal. “This next chapter allows us to reconnect more deeply with our farmers and local producers — to source with greater intention and return to the foundations of how I began as a chef,” he said. “With this standalone restaurant, Gateway now stands alongside Lore in BGC and Azadore in Tomas Morato — distinct in expression, yet united by a shared respect for Filipino ingredients and heritage.”

Other former Palenque Food Hall tenants will also transition into independent spaces within Gateway Mall. Palm Grill, a Michelin-selected concept, will relocate to a larger standalone location within the complex. Ultimately, the whole Tindeli Gateway Mall expansion is shaping the future of dining inside the mall.

Structural works will commence immediately following the February 28 conclusion. Further announcements regarding reopening timelines and refreshed concepts will be released in the coming months.
