The Retreat Spa at Okada Manila garnered two prestigious titles at the 2026 Asia Pacific Spa & Wellness Coalition (APSWC) Awards. Held April 24 in Siem Reap, Cambodia, the spa was specifically named Sustainability Champion of the Year and Wellness Menu of the Year. Notably, this marks the fourth consecutive year the spa has been recognized by the APSWC, and the third year in a row it has secured the Wellness Menu category.
Holding the Title and Making it their Own
Consequently, these accolades distinguish The Retreat Spa as a regional leader in wellness innovation and ethical operations. Established in 2023, the APSWC Awards utilize a rigorous selection process involving public voting and a panel of twenty-seven industry experts from twenty-two countries.

Excellence in Innovation and Stewardship
The Wellness Menu of the Year award celebrates programs that successfully bridge traditional healing and modern holistic practices. In particular, the Retreat Spa is noted for its unique offerings. The Wave Dream relaxation chamber as the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. Furthermore, the menu features signature treatments including “Dance of Waves” and “Indayog ng Duyan.”
In addition to its creative offerings, the Sustainability Champion of the Year title recognizes the spa’s measurable contributions to environmental stewardship. Under the Okada Green Heart program, the spa has implemented several eco-conscious initiatives; specifically, these include hydro-efficient treatment protocols, the elimination of single-use plastics, and the integration of Nordaq water systems. Finally, the spa has introduced upcycling programs alongside its Spa x Culinary Herb Garden Project to further minimize its ecological footprint.

This recent success complements the spa’s fourth consecutive Forbes Travel Guide 5-Star rating. Beyond its 3,000-square-meter facility, which includes aqua therapy, a Co-Ed Spa, and specialized grooming studios, The Retreat Spa remains dedicated to local community engagement and the growth of Philippine wellness tourism.
