Let’s be honest, dads are notoriously difficult to spoil. They are the ones who insist they “don’t need anything” while secretly carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders. But this year, saying thank you doesn’t have to fit into a gift box.

Throughout the month of June, City of Dreams Manila is rolling out the red carpet for fathers with an experience that appeals to every facet of a well-lived life. City of Dreams Manila is honoring fathers with “Dad’s Day Out,” an expertly curated selection of festive, Michelin-inspired experiences. Rather than confining the celebration to a single day, the luxury resort is extending the festivities throughout the month.

Dads can enjoy specially crafted menus at Crystal Dragon and Nobu Manila, indulge in retail therapy at The Shops at the Boulevard, or unwind with a luxury staycation at the Forbes Travel Guide-rated properties: Nüwa Manila, Nobu Hotel Manila, and Hyatt Regency Manila.

The chilled seafood bar adds an indulgent touch to Nobu Manila’s Father’s Day brunch.

Fine Cantonese Dining at Crystal Dragon

In a dual celebration of Father’s Day and the Dragon Boat Festival, Crystal Dragon is presenting a premier à la carte menu for lunch and dinner, available through June 30. The culinary centerpiece of this limited-time menu is the Steamed Lobster on Egg White Custard with Aged Hua Diao. Crafted by Chef de Cuisine Chan Choo Kean, this standout dish debuted during “The Dragons’ Ascent”. A historic, Michelin-starred, six-hands dinner that united prominent chefs from Melco’s sister properties in Macau.

In addition to the signature lobster, the festive menu features a variety of elevated Cantonese specialties. For instance, guests can begin their meal with the comforting Hot and Sour Soup with Fish Maw and Grouper, followed by the decadent Crispy Suckling Pig paired with goose liver and glutinous rice.

Furthermore, the selection includes a rich Glutinous Rice Dumpling stuffed with baby abalone and Chinese preserved sausage. Finally, the culinary experience concludes on a sweet note with the Eight Treasures Sweet Soup, which is elegantly elevated with rice wine, cashews, and glutinous rice cakes.

Crystal Dragon welcomes guests daily, serving lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and dinner from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The Indulgent Nobu Sunday Brunch

For fathers who appreciate world-class gastronomy, Nobu Manila is hosting a lavish Sunday brunch buffet on June 21. Celebrated for the iconic, global New Style Japanese cuisine of Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, the brunch features unlimited à la minute specialties, such as Black Cod in Butter Lettuce, Shrimp and Shojin Tempura, and Grilled Beef with Onion Ponzu.

The buffet also highlights an array of decadent carvings, including Slow-Cooked Beef Brisket, Baked Salmon, and Roasted Lamb Leg. Guests can sample regional adaptations and creative items like Nobu-Style Pork Sisig, Baked Seafood with Honey Anticucho, and a variety of freshly grilled meats, seafood, and vegetables from the live Kushiyaki station.

At the sushi bar, master chefs showcase their artistry by carving sashimi from a whole salmon alongside Nobu classics like Yellowtail Jalapeño, Tuna Tosazu, Hokki Tiradito, White Fish New Style, Sisig Crispy Rice, and Nambanzuke.

Premium sushi cups, nigiri, and maki rolls are also available. Meanwhile, a chilled seafood bar features premium options like Gallagher oysters, blue crabs, shrimp, and mussels, all paired with Nobu’s signature dipping sauces.

To complete the experience, the spread includes an assortment of salads, soups, noodles, and an extensive dessert collection of miniature pastries, whole cakes, truffle parfaits, desserts in jars, and fresh seasonal fruits.

The Nobu Father’s Day Brunch runs from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Regular package is priced at ₱4,388 net per adult, which includes non-alcoholic beverages and mocktails. Upgraded packages featuring alcoholic and premium beverages are also available. An Intimate Seven-Course Omakase at Nobu

Families seeking a more private dining experience can treat their fathers to Nobu’s seasonal seven-course Manila Omakase. Available until June 28 for ₱8,871.43 net per person, this tasting menu highlights exceptionally fresh ingredients through a meticulously sequenced progression.

The multi-course meal opens with a chef’s choice Zensai appetizer to set the stage for the exquisite flavors to follow. Next, guests are treated to the Kunsei Hamachi, a smoked Japanese yellowtail enhanced by a vibrant wasabi pineapple salsa, which is then followed by Ika, featuring delicate squid served with dried kelp and a savory yuzu katsuobushi sauce.

Afterwards, a premium assortment of sushi arrives at the table, perfectly accompanied by a comforting, clear udon soup infused with shiitake mushroom, shichimi, and pak choi. To refresh the palate, the multi-course experience transitions into a crisp garden salad tossed with smoked salmon and a bright yuzu plum dressing.

The culinary journey then deepens with a savory course of baked salmon finished with a spicy garlic black pepper sauce, leading directly into the main highlight. A succulent grilled beef tenderloin elevated with Eringi mushroom and a rich truffle tosazu sauce.

A decadent Matcha Dome, accompanied by mixed berries and refreshing sorbet, provides a sweet conclusion to the evening. Nobu Manila is open for dinner from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and extends its hours until 11:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
