The magic of live theatre lies in its ability to bring people together—to share a laugh, get swept up in a story, or lose themselves in a performance’s energy. Increasingly, that experience is becoming accessible to audiences who have traditionally faced barriers to enjoying the performing arts.
Filipino Sign Language Enriches Manila’s Musicals
In a transformative move toward inclusivity, GMG Productions has announced that two upcoming productions at The Theatre at Solaire will offer dedicated Filipino Sign Language (FSL)-interpreted performances.

Audiences can look forward to the Olivier- and Tony Award-winning slapstick comedy The Play That Goes Wrong on November 13, 2026, followed closely by the Philippine premiere of the beloved cult classic Heathers: the Musical on February 2, 2027.
Building an Inclusive Partnership
Collaboration is key to this success. Consequently, GMG Productions partnered with Deaf consultants and FSL interpreters. These experts come from the De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde (CEAD and SDEAS-IEP).
Meanwhile, Carlos Candal, CEO of GMG Productions, emphasizes that live theatre belongs to everyone. Therefore, this partnership aims to dismantle old barriers. As a result, more members of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community can join the theatre family.
Two Distinct Shows and Special Access
These upcoming productions offer completely contrasting styles. On one hand, The Play That Goes Wrong delivers pure comic chaos and physical comedy.

On the other hand, Heathers the Musical brings a dark, rock-infused narrative about high school life.
Beyond the stage, accessibility remains a priority. Specifically, a dedicated orchestra seating section provides clear sightlines to both the stage and the interpreters.
In addition, patrons can use the promo code ACCESSSEATS for a 20% discount on these seats. Alternatively, standard PWD discounts are available at physical TicketWorld outlets.
