Enchanted Kingdom (EK), the Philippines’ premier world-class theme park, recently proved that magic is not reserved solely for humans. On April 26, the park opened its gates to cats, dogs, and their owners for Furever Enchanted Ogg’s Pets Day. This special one-day event, a centerpiece of the park’s Forever Enchanted Summer campaign, offered a unique blend of recreation and advocacy.
Curated by the park’s character Ogg the Guard, the festivities focused on celebrating the bond between pets and their human companions while promoting animal welfare through education and community engagement.
Education and Advocacy
The event commenced at the Enchanting Events Place (EEP) Foyer with a series of educational sessions. Experts from the Santa Rosa City Veterinary Office, the Animal Bite Center, and the training institution Canine Connections led discussions on basic obedience and behavioral training, pet health, safety, and rabies awareness, and the fundamentals of responsible pet ownership.
In addition to these learning opportunities, volunteers from the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) provided support throughout the day. A significant highlight was the onsite pet adoption drive hosted by Second Chance Aspin Shelter Philippines Incorporated (SECASPI), a rescue organization based in Calamba City, which aimed to find permanent homes for rescued animals.
Recreation at Ogg’s Paw Ville
The Agila Grounds were transformed into Ogg’s Paw Ville, a dedicated pet-inclusive space where attendees enjoyed various activities and services, including a Themed Play Area; an EK-inspired pet playground and a vibrant photo booth for capturing memories. Complimentary Wellness; veterinary checkups, anti-rabies vaccinations, and professional training consultations. And lastly, The Magical Bazaar; a marketplace featuring pet essentials, treats, and exclusive merchandise.
Additionally, the participants also benefited from exclusive savings on Regular Day Passes, allowing them to enjoy the park’s various rides and attractions following the conclusion of the pet-specific events.
Enchanted Kingdom is currently open Thursday through Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Beginning May 4 and continuing through June 30, guests may enjoy the park’s more than thirty rides and attractions, along with other enchanting experiences, from Friday through Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
