At the helm of Red Lantern’s culinary revival is Chef Jason Wong, a seasoned talent with deep roots in Chinese cuisine and a global perspective shaped by years in top-tier kitchens—from Mandarin Oriental Marrakech to Shangri-La Maldives. Now leading the team at Solaire Resort North, Chef Jason brings a refined yet grounded approach, blending traditional Cantonese techniques with thoughtful innovation. Tea Master Harry Gu brings the ancient art of Kung Fu Tea to life with precision, grace, and theatrical flair. Using a long-spouted kettle, he performs each pour like a dance—blending tradition, movement, and mindfulness in every cup.

At Red Lantern, lunch and dinner come with a cultural twist. From Tuesday to Sunday, diners get front-row seats to two rare Chinese performance arts—live, up close, and unforgettable. Kung Fu Tea Ceremony

Using a long-spouted kettle, Tea Master Harry Gu performs the Kung Fu Tea Ceremony. He pours tea with elegant, martial arts-style movements that showcase control, grace, and precision. It’s as calming as it is mesmerizing.

Face-Changing (Bian Lian)

Then, the energy shifts. In a flash, Gu’s colorful silk mask changes—again and again—without a single touch. This is Bian Lian, a dramatic tradition from Sichuan opera. His costumes, hand-painted masks, and fluid movements make for a spellbinding performance.
