Filipino rapper Young Cocoa has released his latest project, the Young Cocoa Still Cocoa EP, now available on all digital platforms under Sony Music Entertainment. The six-track release builds on his earlier work while expanding his sound, themes, and production style.
Known for blending chill rhythms with experimental beats, Young Cocoa continues that direction here, working with producers Brido, Jayson Franz, Joseph Gregory, Luke April, and newcomer chocolateman. The EP includes previously released tracks like “inboxxx,” “Cheap Thrills,” and “Raspberry,” alongside new songs that explore personal themes and creative growth.
Young Cocoa describes the project as an important step in his artistic journey. To him, Still Cocoa represents a clearer identity, more intentional production choices, and a more defined place in the alt-hip hop space.
The EP’s title track, “STILL COCOA (fly),” sets the tone for the record, addressing expectations and the pressure that comes with being recognized for earlier releases. The song signals a shift toward artistic freedom and a willingness to grow beyond what listeners may already associate with his name.
Other new tracks, including “WHEN DO I GET OLD?” and “flew2bali4ahug,” bring more introspective storytelling into the project. These songs explore the transition from youth to adulthood, change, and the emotional realities that come with growing up.
The Young Cocoa Still Cocoa EP officially marks the beginning of a new phase in the rapper’s career, offering listeners a refined version of his signature sound paired with themes centered on identity, maturity, and creative reinvention.
