SB19 releases the official audio versions of their THE FIRST TAKE performances of “DAM” and “Time,” now available on all major digital music platforms worldwide. The launch marks another milestone for the group, who remain the first and only Filipino and Southeast Asian act to appear on the influential Japanese channel—and the first to perform there twice.
THE FIRST TAKE premiered SB19’s one-take recordings of “DAM” on November 3 and “Time” on November 24. Both performances quickly gained traction across multiple countries. Today’s digital release allows listeners to stream the raw, stripped-down versions across all global platforms.
A One-Take Stage With Global Reach
THE FIRST TAKE is known for its simple but high-pressure format. Artists must perform in a single take. No retakes. No second chances. Global stars such as BTS’s V, Harry Styles, Stray Kids, and Hitsujibungaku have appeared on the channel. SB19’s return signals that Filipino artists can stand confidently on the same global stage.
Pablo says the group worked hard for this opportunity. Representing the Philippines on a respected international platform remains a responsibility they value deeply. Their second appearance reinforces their goal of championing Filipino talent on the world stage.
Stell explains that their first stint made an impact, but this return carries even greater pride. THE FIRST TAKE is not a trophy, he says, but it is a major achievement. He hopes more Filipino artists will soon perform on the platform.
Josh shares that the group once dreamed of standing on THE FIRST TAKE stage. Doing it twice feels surreal. For him, the opportunity shows the world what real Filipino talent looks like.
A True One-Take Challenge
Ken emphasizes the pressure of the process. The versions released today are exactly what they recorded—one take, pure and unedited. The group prepared intensely to deliver a clean and heartfelt performance. He says they are grateful and proud to share these versions with fans worldwide.
Justin adds that being invited back proves their growing reach. THE FIRST TAKE is globally respected, and appearing twice brings them closer to their long-term goals as artists.
A Record Year for SB19
SB19’s accomplishments in 2025 extend far beyond THE FIRST TAKE. They became the first Filipino act to chart on Billboard Japan, debuting at No. 17 on the Top Album Sales Chart with their Simula At Wakas EP. Their single “Time” previously reached No. 1 on the Line Music Japan World Music Top 50, while “DAM” became the second most viewed Filipino music video within 24 hours of release.
Their growth also reached the Middle East and North Africa. SB19 became the first Filipino act to enter The Official MENA Chart, landing in the UAE Top 10 at No. 7 and the Saudi Arabia Top 20 at No. 17. These milestones highlight the group’s rising global presence and expanding fan base.
Global Release Now Streaming
Starting today, the one-take versions of “DAM” and “Time” are available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and all major digital platforms under Sony Music Entertainment. The release adds another global achievement to the group’s growing list of firsts.
