For one vibrant week in June, Baguio City became a lively crossroads of cultures, spirited conversations. And modern pageantry as delegates from across the globe gathered in the summer capital for the first-ever Mister Eco International competition.

Set amid pine-clad hills, fresh mountain breezes, and Baguio’s singular fusion of custom and innovation. The gathering became much more than a typical pageant. It embodied a new era in global competitions, where advocacy, sustainability, and intercultural exchange now gleam as vividly as style and stage presence.

The pageant exposed the new face of pageantry, where purpose stands shoulder to shoulder with presentation, and advocacy is celebrated as much as achievement.

A Historic Coronation Night

The week reached its grand finale on June 11 at the Cordillera International Convention Hall within the Baguio Country Club. Here, Egypt’s Yosef Ali claimed the first Mister Eco International title. His victory capped an odyssey that united delegates from every corner of the globe. Each bringing not just national pride but also heartfelt causes and community-focused advocacies.

From Capital Tempo to Highland Charm

The competition kicked off in bustling Manila before journeying north to Baguio, giving delegates a taste of two strikingly different faces of the Philippines. From the energetic tempo of the capital to the relaxed charm of the Cordillera highlands. The itinerary showcased the nation’s abundant landscapes and cultural panorama.

While Ali captured the inaugural crown, several delegates left a strong impression throughout the competition. France’s Lucas Prince secured the First Runner-Up spot. Meanwhile, the Philippines’ Kitt Cortez earned Second Runner-Up honors and the title of Mister Eco International Asia 2026. Italy’s Luigi Elia Fiore, India’s Nawang Dondup, and the Dominican Republic’s Alejandro Rodriguez rounded out the Top 6.

The competition’s focus on sustainability echoed a global movement in pageants, where advocacy is now woven into the very texture of a titleholder’s journey.
