In the food and beverage world, trust is the currency. For 25 years, WOFEX has earned it—one conversation-turned-partnership at a time. It’s more than a trade show. It’s where suppliers and buyers enter as strangers and leave as partners.
This year, WOFEX brings this spirit to life across two major venues—SMX Convention Center and World Trade Center Metro Manila—and through regional legs in Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, and Baguio. With over 630 exhibitors and nearly 43,000 trade visitors, it’s proof that when trust is built slowly and sincerely, it grows big.

We caught up with several WOFEX regulars and asked them if this was true for them too, and it was a resounding yes. Here’s why F&B professionals choose to participate in this grand trade show every time.
More than a market, WOFEX builds a community
When asked why they still choose WOFEX, Alvin Lago of Conlins Coffee World says it best: “The food industry still needs active interaction. You need sampling, real discussions, and face-to-face connections to make sound decisions.”
Lim, a WOFEX fixture since the early 2000s, recalls a milestone year when WOFEX created a dedicated coffee zone —finally, a space for roasters, brewers, and café owners to gather. The energy was different. Curious customers and coffee entrepreneurs spent hours there, learning, tasting, and exchanging ideas.
“We can’t just accept everything by face value online. People need interaction, sampling, actual discussions to make sound business decisions.”
Elaine Gatchalian of Dane International shares the same sentiment, saying, “Digital may introduce you, but face-to-face is where relationships deepen.”
That kind of setup builds not just visibility, but community. WOFEX makes space for competitors and collaborators to coexist—and grow.
Case in point, Gilbert Lee of Match Contract Furniture shares how during one WOFEX year, he had a customer consult about floor plans for an up-and-coming café in Cebu, which eventually turned into a full-fledged project. “That’s the kind of trust you can only build in person,” he explains.
In this community, no one is left out. WOFEX isn’t segmented by business type—it brings everyone together. From aspiring bakers to multinational suppliers, from student chefs to hotel procurement teams, the expo’s multiple segments—FineFoods, FoodPackPro, FoodServe, Hotel Summit, WOFEX University, and the Philippine Culinary Cup—serve every level of the industry.

WOFEX goes beyond Metro Manila: trust is built across the archipelago
And that spirit of inclusivity extends far beyond the capital. WOFEX’s regional editions aren’t smaller—they’re strategic.
In Iloilo, a booth turned into a long-term distribution deal. In Davao, buyers made decisions on the spot. For Collins Coffee, joining WOFEX’s regional circuit opened doors to markets with different behaviors.
“NCR is not the same as Cebu or Davao,” says Lim. “You have to adjust—and being on the ground helps you understand that.”
These stories show WOFEX’s unique power: it’s not just about reach—it’s about relevance, wherever you go.
WOFEX is more than a trade show, it’s a platform for something greater
Over the years, WOFEX has become more than a platform. It’s a habit for some, a homecoming for others. It’s where businesses debut, suppliers listen, chefs compete, and buyers shake hands instead of clicking buttons.

As WOFEX Founder Joel Pascual puts it, “We’re not just hosting an event—we’re building a space where the entire food industry, from students to suppliers, can grow together. That’s always been the goal.”
It’s not just the scale that matters—it’s the stories that emerge, the relationships that deepen, and the learning that continues long after the booths are packed up.
Trust isn’t built in email campaigns or webinars—it’s built where people show up and stay open. And that’s exactly what WOFEX has cultivated for 25 years—and counting.
