What would you risk to keep the memories of your best friend? That question pulses at the core of Forgotten Island, DreamWorks Animation’s soon-to-be-released animated story that weaves together friendship, family, and the accounts that hold us to our roots. This time, the story is stitched with a vibrant Filipino thread.
A Magical Journey of Friendship and Heritage
Jollibee is teaming up with DreamWorks Animation for a worldwide collaboration launching alongside the film’s worldwide premiere on September 23, 2026. Together, they unite two timeless joys: sharing memorable stories and gathering for a meal with those we cherish.
Within Forgotten Island, lifelong friends Jo and Raissa are carried through a mysterious portal into Nakali, a wondrous island abounding in mythical beings drawn from the rich tales of their Filipino heritage. What starts as a gripping adventure soon tugs at their hearts as the friends realize returning home could cost them dearly: the memories of each other they hold most dear. Together, they must chart a path off the island while fighting to preserve the friendship that has molded their very lives.
A Showcase of Global Filipino Talent
The Filipino connection runs deep. The film features an impressive roster of Filipino and Filipino-American talent, including Tony Award winner Lea Salonga, global comedy star Jo Koy, Grammy and Academy Award winner H.E.R., actress Liza Soberano, and co-writer and co-director Januel Mercado.

Bringing another unmistakably Filipino voice to the project, BINI—the celebrated girl group and Jollibee ambassadors—lend their talents with the song “A Parallel World” for the film’s soundtrack. Released on July 23, this lively electronic-pop anthem fuses English and Filipino lyrics, forging a bright bridge between the magical world of Forgotten Island and fans in the Philippines and around the globe.
BINI brought the song to life at the film’s San Diego Comic-Con panel in July, sharing the Filipino-inspired story and its music with viewers globally. The music video captures the group alongside Jollibee, enjoying laughter and meals during their stay in the United States for the song’s recording and events.
The Jabee Experience
For Jollibee, this partnership serves as a heartfelt extension of its tradition of uniting people.
Great stories and great food both have a method of bringing people together,”
says David Beal, Jollibee Group global chief marketing officer and head of digital marketing.
With DreamWorks Animation’s Forgotten Island, we’re inviting friends and families to celebrate the joy of friendship—from watching the film to sharing a delicious Jollibee meal.”
That spirit echoes the film’s emotional core. Though Jo and Raissa’s journey whisks them into the phenomenal, the story’s heart circles back to what matters most: the people, memories, and mutual moments we treasure.
Dorothy Ching, vice president for marketing at Jollibee Philippines, says the partnership is especially meaningful because it unites the universal themes of camaraderie and family with the unique flavor of Filipino storytelling. The collaboration will go beyond the big screen, with Jollibee preparing a special offer inspired by Forgotten Island.
For now, this partnership invites everyone to gather loved ones, enjoy the film together, and cap the day with a meal that transforms the usual into a treasured memory. After all, some of the best stories are the ones we experience together.
