There is a place in Baguio that combines the cozy vibes of a restaurant, the variety found in pasalubong centers, and yogurt. Found right in the heart of the business district of the city, House of Yogurt (H.O.Y.) is a destination goes beyond a simple eatery, functioning instead as a vibrant community hub that celebrates and showcases the rich culture, artistry, and homegrown products of the Cordilleras.

A Second Home for Art and Community

H.O.Y. has always been more than just another food stop.

Founded by Eunice and Danny Wong and managed by their daughter, Danielle, the establishment first put down roots along Marcos Highway before expanding to its second branch at SM Baguio. To Danielle, H.O.Y. has always been more than just another food stop.

“H.O.Y. was intended to be a second home,” says Danielle.

“House of Yogurt was intended to be a second home, not only for the customers, but also for local artists to showcase their products,” she shares.

Beyond the shelves stocked with highland goods, the space features handmade items crafted by single mothers and homegrown artists. By highlighting these local skills, the restaurant gives tourists a genuine glimpse into the artistic spirit of Baguio people.

Small Batches and Custom Creations

Because their yogurt bar crafts every batch in small quantities, the fresh, vibrant flavor shines through clearly.

At the heart of the menu are the signature yogurt tubs, which the establishment carries in three different sizes. For a personalized treat, guests can visit the interactive yogurt bar to craft their own combinations by selecting two fruits, two crunches, and one syrup.

“Of course, this is also homemade,” she shares. “It’s made in small batches to ensure also the quality of the product.”

Their specialty is a perfect balance of natural tang and creamy richness that immediately elevates the tasting experience. It offers a refreshing and deeply satisfying treat that lingers pleasantly on the palate long after the final bite.

Cordilleran Flavors on the Plate

The menu at H.O.Y. infuses traditional Filipino dishes with distinct highland ingredients, most notably kiniing, a traditional smoked meat that provides a natural, savory saltiness. Among its standout offerings is the KLT sandwich—standing for kiniing, lettuce, and tomato—which reimagines a classic café staple.

Another local highlight is the sizzling pinikpikan, thoughtfully separated from its soup to honor traditional cooking while delivering a comforting taste.

For dessert and snacks, the restaurant features dokto products made from sweet potatoes. Diners can enjoy dokto fries dusted with cinnamon powder or dokto balls consisting of mashed sweet potatoes covered in desiccated coconut.

Reflecting on her personal favorite, Danielle notes, “My personal favorite is the sizzling pinikpikan. It has a unique taste… It’s just something that I’d always look for at home.”

An Invitation to Feel at Home

Ultimately, H.O.Y. aims to leave visitors with a lasting sense of warmth and belonging. From the earthy brown wooden tones of the interior to the comforting, region-inspired dishes, every detail is crafted to evoke a feeling of home. Whether stopping by after a trip up north or looking for a comforting meal, visitors are invited to experience a true piece of Baguio artistry and hospitality at either the Marcos Highway or SM Baguio branches.
