This November 2026, Miss Universe will grace San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The world’s premier celebration of fashion, culture, and feminine empowerment is heading to the Caribbean. Consequently, the Miss Universe Organization will celebrate its 75th Diamond Jubilee on the island.
A Historic Return and Government Support
First announced on September 23, 2025, the organization revealed that Puerto Rico would host. Notably, this marks the island’s fourth time hosting the competition, following editions in 1972, 2001, and 2002.

To support the event, Governor Jenniffer González-Colón allocated $9 million in public funds. These funds will be managed jointly by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company and Discover Puerto Rico. Ultimately, the anniversary week promises a vibrant mix of high fashion, island warmth, and global leadership.
An Action-Packed Schedule of Events
Pageantry fans can look forward to a busy itinerary.
First, the National Costume Show kicks off on Saturday, November 21. Here, art, heritage, and dramatic design collide on stage.
Next, the competition heats up on Sunday, November 22, with the Preliminary Competition. Contestants will walk the stage in elegant evening gowns and swimwear. Finally, the week culminates on Tuesday, November 24, 2026. A new winner will be crowned live at the iconic Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot.
Celebrating Legacy and Economic Impact
Beyond the stage, leadership is looking toward a bold new era. Ronald Day, CEO of the Miss Universe Organization, shared:
Celebrating 75 years of Miss Universe is more than honoring our history—it is celebrating the extraordinary women who have inspired generations through confidence, purpose, leadership, and service.”
He added that the milestone will bring together remarkable role models from around the world. Furthermore, modern technology, innovation, and entertainment will highlight the pageant’s enduring legacy.
In addition, hosting the Diamond Jubilee offers a major boost for tourism. Beyond the televised main stage, the week will feature cultural events, media soirées, and community projects.
Willianette Robles Cancel, Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, noted that the event marks a historic milestone. She emphasized that the island will showcase its beauty, talent, and hospitality to a global audience.

As a result, the partnership aims to deliver a world-class experience while boosting the local economy.
Now, with tickets and performers to be announced shortly, San Juan is ready for the spotlight.
