The shelves of Landers Vermosa turned into tasting tables as the Landers Wine & Liquor Festival 2025 officially opened with an afternoon of flavor and conversation. Guests wandered between bottles from Spain, France, Australia, and the Philippines, pausing to sip, compare, and discover something new.
Among the guests were Landers CEO Bill Cummings, VP for Marketing and Membership Kenneth Ocampo, Ruffa Gutierrez, and JC de Vera, joining members and partners in raising a toast to the season.
A Celebration of Craft
Now on its annual run, the festival gathered some of the world’s most recognized wine and spirits brands—Emperador Distillers Inc., Luis Felipe Edwards, Bodegas Piedemonte, Les Grands Chais De France, Bodegas Faustino Rivero, Tomevinos Winery, Chancellor & Co., Robertson Wide Rivers, Bottlezone Corporation, Philippine Wine Merchants Inc., Philippine Oenophile Ventures, Handelaar Corporation, Wine Brothers Phils., Jack Daniel’s, Johnnie Walker, Brown Brothers Wine, San Miguel Brewery Inc., Future Trade International, Pernod Ricard PH, Founders, and Selection by Landers.
For shoppers, it was a rare chance to taste and learn. For Landers, it was another way of bringing people together around a shared love for quality and craft.

Lessons from a Winemaker
The afternoon highlight came from Gorka Zabalbeitia, a Spanish winemaker from Tomevinos Family Estates, who led a special masterclass on sustainable viticulture. Speaking to members, he shared how the land, weather, and patience shape every bottle. The discussion offered a glimpse of the passion behind the labels on the shelves—a reminder that each drink has a story and a culture behind it.
“This festival has always been about more than just good drinks,” said Bill Cummings, CEO of Landers Superstore. “It’s about celebrating the craftsmanship behind every bottle, the friendships built around shared experiences, and the joy of finding something new to love.”
Why It Matters
For many Filipinos, events like this are a small but meaningful shift. They show how the culture of taste is growing—how people are learning to explore, ask questions, and appreciate what they drink, rather than just consume it. It’s part of a broader lifestyle change that values curiosity and shared experience over luxury.

The Landers Wine & Liquor Festival 2025 runs until November 9, featuring up to 50% off and Buy 1 Get 1 deals both in-store and online at landers.ph. Members also have a chance to win a trip for two to Bodegas Fundador in Jerez, Spain, or ₱100,000 in Landers Gift Certificates with purchases from participating brands. Entries close on November 9 at 11:59 PM, with the grand draw on November 14.
More than just a sale, the festival marks how taste—and community—are evolving. At its heart, it’s a reminder that celebration doesn’t always have to be grand. Sometimes, it’s found in the simple act of raising a glass together.
