Time check, may IDILY Script Reading Performance?!
If you have ever found yourself singing along to indie soundtracks or reminiscing about late-night bagnet runs, you know that I’m Drunk, I Love You is far more than just a film. It’s a full-blown cultural movement. Years after first capturing our college hearts, this beloved road trip story is making a major comeback, bringing fans a new iteration to experience Carson and Dio’s journey all over again.
Kamuning Film Club’s Script Reading
I’m drunk, isa pa! The Kamuning Film Club is hosting a special, stripped-down script reading on the AWKC YouTube channel. In addition, this unique performance features an incredible new cast. OPM hitmaker Maki steps into the role of Dio, while SB19’s Justin takes on Carson. They are also joined by talented performers Yani Villarosa and Barboys star Benedix Ramos, giving the classic story an exciting new energy.
Nostalgia, Bagnet, and Unrequited Love
Originally directed by JP Habac and produced by TBA Studios, I’m Drunk, I Love You became an instant favorite after its 2017 release. At its core, the film captures universal experiences—unrequited love, UP campus memories, Shirebound soundtracks, and graduating into new chapters of life. Naturally, it earned numerous film laurels and built a passionate community over the years.
Now, this stripped-back reading offers an intimate, updated interpretation of those iconic moments.
Inside the AWKP Creative Universe
This event comes straight from a vibrant community founded by directors JP Habac and Antoinette Jadaone. During the pandemic, the duo launched Ang Walang Kwentang Podcast to build an open space for artists and film lovers.
Eventually, this expanded into Basta Café on the corner of K-1st and T. Gener—a cozy spot filled with humor, workshops, and trivia nights. In fact, it is on that iconic café sofa, reminiscent of NPR Tiny Desk, where their creative projects truly come to life.
Ultimately, this script reading is a wonderful celebration of Filipino film, music, and community. Whether you are a longtime fan or discovering Carson and Dio for the very first time, you won’t want to miss this performance.
Be sure to tune in on August 12, 2026, at 8:00 PM on the Ang Walang Kwentang Channel on YouTube to catch all the relapse!
