Oftentimes, theme parks serve as an escape from reality. But this June, Enchanted Kingdom became a mirror for the very best of it. Wrapping up its Forever Enchanted Summer campaign, the park turned its stage over to two pillars of modern Filipino love. The fierce, unapologetic talent of the LGBTQIA+ community, and the quiet, devoted strength of Fathers.
It was a June defined not just by thrills and rides, but by back-to-back celebrations that proved magic multiplied for everyone.
Embracing the Magic of Inclusivity
The festivities kicked off with Magic of EKquality: A Celebration of Pride Talents, an event that showcased world-class Filipino talent. Held on June 7, 13, and 14 at the Bandstand, the celebration featured exceptional performances by members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Among the featured acts were Alquin Gutierrez, the grand winner of the Magic of EKquality Talent Competition 2024, and Vivacious, a finalist in the World Supremacy BattleGrounds International 2023.
Additionally, OPM indie-pop singer-songwriter Rhodessa and Asia’s Trans Dual Diva, Sephy Francisco, graced the stage to entertain the guests.
Honoring Devoted Dads
In addition to celebrating pride, the theme park paid a heartfelt tribute to all devoted dads who bring magic into their homes. This was made possible through the return of the Forever Enchanted Father’s Day specials during the third and fourth weekends of June.
Beloved characters from the EK Storyverse, the Faerie King and Balasik, offered exclusive treats for fathers, including body care and relaxation services situated at Eldar’s Theater.
While the fathers enjoyed these pampering sessions, they were simultaneously serenaded by special performances from rising Viva Records artists Dana Pauline and Jehramae. Furthermore, Enchanted Kingdom’s very own P-pop girl group capped off the more than two-month run of its seasonal musical show, SMS Summer Blast, with a high-energy finale.
Meanwhile, the all-male vocal group, Kingsmen, also honored fathers through their weekend show at the Bandstand.
To round out the celebration, other exciting Father’s Day activities were rolled out around the park. These attractions included Fun Kart’s Rev Up Speed Showdown, High Striker’s Dad’s Ultimate Strike, and an exclusive car display and test drive experience.
Looking Ahead to a Magical July
Although June has come to a close, the magic continues into July. Enchanted Kingdom has announced the return of its regular operating hours, welcoming guests from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. every Friday through Sunday until August 30.
Following this schedule, starting September 1, the park will adjust its operations to Thursdays through Sundays, maintaining the same hours of 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Visitors can secure passes for their next park visit as early as today. To make the experience even more refreshing, the park is running the Sip the Magic! Promo in collaboration with Coca-Cola. For 1,400 Philippine pesos, this bundled offer includes one Regular Day Pass alongside a complimentary magical drink featuring the newest beverages from Coca-Cola.
