Agriculture is not only about growing food. Getting produce from farms and fisheries to markets also requires storage, transportation, processing, and strong connections between producers and buyers.

With this in mind, Agrilink, Foodlink, and Aqualink 2026 concluded on October 10 at the World Trade Center Manila.

The 31st edition ran from October 8 to 10 under the theme, “Agri Food Hub Facilities: A Boost to Efficiency in the Value and Market Chains.” Through this theme, the event highlighted how integrated facilities can help agricultural products move more efficiently from producers to businesses and consumers.

From Production to Market

Agri-food hubs bring several services closer to producers.

Agri-food hubs bring essential services closer to producers. For example, these facilities can offer product collection and consolidation areas, cold storage, processing and packaging services, and logistics support. They can also connect producers with commercial and institutional buyers.

For farmers, fisherfolk, cooperatives, and agribusinesses, these facilities can help reduce postharvest losses and improve product handling. As a result, producers can maintain product quality and reach more reliable markets.

At the same time, efficient supply chains can help buyers secure a steadier supply of agricultural and food products.

A Meeting Place for the Industry

Beyond its focus on infrastructure, Agrilink 2026 brought together government agencies, producers, technology providers, industry groups, and agribusiness leaders.

Throughout the three-day exhibition, visitors explored agricultural products, machinery, equipment, farm inputs, food products, live animals and plants, and various technologies and services. In addition, they attended free seminars, demonstrations, and learning sessions. These activities also gave participants opportunities to meet potential suppliers, business partners, and other industry stakeholders.

The event officially opened on October 8 with Cold Chain Association of the Philippines President Anthony S. Dizon, Department of Agriculture Undersecretary for Operations Roger P. Navarro, and DA Undersecretary Designated for Identified High Value Export Crops and Agri-Fishery Export Development and Promotion Philip C. Young leading the ceremony. Other government and industry representatives also joined them.

Bringing Kadiwa Closer to Consumers

Alongside Agrilink, organizers hosted the third Kadiwa ng Pangulo Expo. The Department of Agriculture leads this initiative to connect farmers, fisherfolk, cooperatives, and agri-based enterprises directly with consumers and other buyers.

The expo occupied 875 square meters and featured 54 booths showcasing products from across the country. Meanwhile, three Kadiwa trucks sold fruits, vegetables, delicacies, and other agricultural products from three regions.

Visitors also explored retail and dining areas offering local produce and food products. One highlight was Benteng Bigas, which offered rice at ₱20 per kilo.

Now in its 31st year, Agrilink continues to connect stakeholders across the agriculture, food, fisheries, and agribusiness sectors. Ultimately, the event highlights the importance of strengthening the entire food supply chain so locally produced goods can reach markets and consumers more efficiently.
