Family travelers have given Hyatt Regency Manila, City of Dreams another reason to celebrate. The hotel placed eighth in Smart Travel Asia’s 2026 Best in Travel Poll’s Top 10 Best Family Hotels, moving up two spots from its No. 10 ranking last year.

A Step Up for Hyatt Regency

For travelers looking for a more private stay, the 86-square-meter Hyatt Pool Villa comes with a king bedroom, living area, foyer, and powder room, with direct access to the pool area.

Located within City of Dreams Manila in Parañaque, Hyatt Regency Manila is one of the resort’s three luxury hotels, offering contemporary stays alongside dining, leisure, and family-friendly experiences. The recognition marks the hotel’s second consecutive appearance on the Hong Kong-based publication’s annual list. It also adds to Hyatt Regency Manila’s record as a Forbes Travel Guide Star-rated property since 2018.

The 2026 poll, conducted from June to late August, found that safety, service, and value remain important considerations for travelers, while 60 percent of respondents expressed interest in child-friendly resorts.

More Than Just a Place to Stay

At the center of it is DreamPlay, a 5,000-square-meter indoor entertainment center inspired by DreamWorks Animation.

Part of the appeal for families is that there is plenty to do without leaving City of Dreams Manila.

At the center of it is DreamPlay, a 5,000-square-meter indoor entertainment center inspired by DreamWorks Animation. Its 12 interactive attractions bring characters including Shrek, Po, Puss in Boots, and the Trolls into hands-on experiences for children and their families.

After playtime, families can drop by Chez Gingy for pizza, pasta, noodles, ice cream, and other familiar favorites. The DreamPlay Shop also offers toys and souvenirs to take home.

Room for the Whole Family

Hyatt Regency Manila has 364 rooms and suites, including options designed for families who need a little more space.

The 114-square-meter two-bedroom Executive Suite allows larger or multigenerational families to stay together while maintaining separate sleeping spaces. For travelers looking for a more private stay, the 86-square-meter Hyatt Pool Villa comes with a king bedroom, living area, foyer, and powder room, with direct access to the pool area.

Families can also spend time together at the hotel’s 200-square-meter outdoor pool, which includes a children’s pool and a heated whirlpool. Cribs and rollaway beds are available upon request in selected room categories.

Stay, Eat, Then Explore

For families who prefer to keep things convenient, dining is another part of the experience.

The Café serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner from its 315-seat dining room, with dishes prepared at interactive show kitchens. Children five and below dine for free, while those aged six to 12 can enjoy the buffet at half the regular rate.

Beyond Hyatt Regency Manila, families can explore the wider City of Dreams complex, which has more than 20 restaurants and bars. Dining options include Cantonese specialties at Crystal Dragon, modern Filipino dishes at Haliya, and Japanese cuisine at Nobu Manila.

The Shoppes at the Boulevard adds another stop for shopping, with fashion, sportswear, electronics, and other retail options alongside restaurants and cafés.

Something for the Grown-Ups, Too

A family trip does not necessarily mean every activity has to be kid-focused.

Adults can unwind at Nüwa Spa or Nobu Spa, both Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rated, while CenterPlay offers live entertainment for those looking to spend the evening out.

For World of Hyatt members, eligible stays can also earn points toward free nights and room or suite upgrades, with additional benefits depending on membership tier and availability.

For a hotel surrounded by entertainment, dining, shopping, and family attractions, Hyatt Regency Manila’s latest Smart Travel Asia recognition reflects a growing interest in stays where the destination is part of the experience—not simply the room where travelers sleep.
