Mikaela Kristina “Mika” Acido Muega has long balanced two worlds one governed by logic, formulas and precision, the other by creativity, storytelling and boundless imagination. She excels at engineering ideas into words, crafting stories that bridge these distinct realms.

As a materials engineering student at the University of the Philippines Diliman and a newly joined columnist at Simpol.ph, Mika is proving that science and storytelling are not mutually exclusive.

With a strong interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), Mika enjoys not only studying these fields but also applying them in practical and creative ways. She has a deep appreciation for literature, technology, music and the visual arts.

Mika believes the world is filled with stories waiting to be told. Through writing, she aims to explore and share ideas in ways that go beyond textbooks and laboratories, creating a space where knowledge, creativity and imagination can thrive without limits.
