At the recent National Data Privacy Conference, the National Privacy Commission (NPC) honored SM Retail with the NPC Seal of Registration Compliance Excellence Award for the Private Sector. The NPC Seal of Registration Compliance Excellence Award honors private sector organizations that actively champion transparency and accountability.
To qualify, companies must prominently display their NPC Seal of Registration throughout their physical operations and digital touchpoints. By doing so, SM Retail makes its data security commitments highly visible to the public. Expressing gratitude for the accolade, SM Retail President Jonathan Ng emphasized the connection between data security and consumer relations.

In addition to its primary award, SM Retail earned a spot as a finalist for the Privacy Initiative of the Year. This nomination spotlights the companyās comprehensive internal education programs.
