A new Philippine competition is bringing movement, mindset, self-expression, and community together in a journey that asks participants to discover not just what they can achieve, but who they can become.

Fitness journeys often begin with a simple goal: to get stronger, improve endurance, build healthier habits, or feel more confident. But somewhere along the way, the experience can become about much more than physical change. It can teach discipline, reveal resilience, and offer a fresh perspective on what it means to care for yourself.

That broader vision of wellness lies at the heart of EMBODY Philippines 2027, a new competition that brings fitness, pageantry, and personal storytelling together in a format designed to celebrate the whole person.

Rather than focusing solely on physique or stage presence, EMBODY examines the relationship between body, mind, and soul. Physical training is essential to the experience, but so are self-reflection, confidence, personal growth, and the ability to make a positive contribution to the community.

The premise is simple: becoming stronger is meaningful, but the transformation along the way is just as important.

Fitness, with a More Personal Purpose

EMBODY sits at the intersection of fitness competitions and pageantry, drawing elements from both while placing greater emphasis on the personal journey behind each participant.

For fitness enthusiasts, it offers an opportunity to put their training to the test. For those drawn to pageantry, it creates space for confidence, presence, and self-expression. And for individuals with stories shaped by change, setbacks, or personal milestones, it provides a platform to share what those experiences have taught them.

The goal isn’t to arrive with a perfect physique or a fully mapped-out life plan. It’s to start with an honest understanding of where you are and a willingness to see how far you can go.

That might mean developing a more consistent workout routine, learning to handle challenges with greater confidence, or discovering how a personal story can inspire someone else. Progress, in this sense, is not limited to what can be measured on a scale or demonstrated onstage. It is also found in the habits that stick, the fears that become easier to face, and the promises you learn to keep to yourself.

From Manila to La Union

The road to the EMBODY finals unfolds across two distinct destinations, each playing a unique role in the experience.

The first leg, in Manila, focuses on the person behind the training. Candidates will have the opportunity to share their stories, explore their motivations, and reflect on their starting points. It is an invitation to look beyond appearances and consider the experiences, values, and ambitions that have shaped them.

From there, the journey moves to La Union, where training, fitness challenges, and outdoor experiences put those intentions into practice. The setting also opens up the possibility of experiencing wellness beyond the gym—through movement, time spent outdoors, shared experiences, and the relationships formed along the way.

The finals in La Union bring these two stages together. Candidates will present not only their physical preparation and stage presence, but also the personal growth and purpose that have defined their journey.

In this format, the competition is not simply about a single performance. It’s about the story leading up to it.

Four Stages of Becoming

EMBODY’s framework follows four pillars: Emerge, Empower, Embrace, and Embody.

It begins with Emerge, the decision to show up and acknowledge your starting point. From there, Empower focuses on building strength, consistency, and confidence through training and recovery.

Embrace shifts the focus outward, encouraging candidates to support one another and connect their personal progress with the needs of their communities. Finally, Embody brings the entire experience together, giving participants the opportunity to express what they have learned and how they have transformed.

This progression reflects a view of wellness that goes beyond exercise alone. Physical strength matters, but so do discipline, self-awareness, connection, and the ability to carry positive habits into everyday life.

When Personal Progress Becomes Community Action

One of the competition’s defining elements is the Community Impact Challenge, which asks each candidate to identify a local fitness or wellness concern and develop a practical project in response.

The process begins with a need close to home. It could involve encouraging physical activity, making wellness resources more accessible, or creating opportunities for people to develop healthier habits. Candidates then build an initiative, put it into action, and document the results.

The emphasis is on turning good intentions into something tangible—a project that actively involves people, responds to a real concern, and has the potential to continue long after the competition ends.

It is also a reminder that wellness rarely happens in isolation. Access to safe spaces for movement, supportive communities, and opportunities to participate can profoundly influence how people care for themselves.

By incorporating community work into the competition, EMBODY asks participants to consider how their own journeys might create opportunities for others, too.

Who Gets to Be a Wellness Advocate?

The search for EMBODY Philippines 2027 is open to men and women aged 18 to 45. Participants do not need to be professional athletes or arrive with a polished transformation story.

Redefining wellness through the four pillars—Emerge, Empower, Embrace, and Embody—as candidates prepare to take the journey from Manila to La Union.

The competition welcomes everyday athletes, wellness advocates, storytellers, and community builders—people who have a reason to challenge themselves and a willingness to share what they learn along the way.

A runner who has discovered the value of consistency, a gym regular working toward a new personal best, or someone rebuilding confidence after a difficult chapter may each bring a valuable perspective to the experience. What connects them is the desire to grow.

Applications begin with an online submission outlining each candidate’s background, discipline, motivation, and personal goals. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by the organizing team, with the full competition mechanics and timeline to be announced through official channels.

A Different Kind of Finish Line

EMBODY Philippines 2027 was introduced at a media launch at PARQAL, Aseana City, on October 22, 2026, marking the start of its search for the next generation of wellness advocates.

Hosted by multi-talented Markki Stroem, the launch introduced the broader vision behind the competition—including its categories, partners, and community-oriented campaign—alongside brand ambassadors actor and Gen Z performer Michael Sager, P-pop group G22 member Jaz Henry, and singer, songwriter, and actor Iñigo Pascual. The coaches, mentors, and wellness professionals who will guide every candidate through both legs and the finals are Pronto (Polo and Kyle), Enzo Bonoan, Julia Sucgang-Bonoan, Jome Silayan, Camille Rose, Maya Banawa, Eugene Runas, and Will Devaughn.

As the search begins, the concept offers a timely perspective on fitness and personal development: the pursuit of a healthier life does not have to be defined by appearance or achievement alone.

There is deep value in learning to move with intention, finding the confidence to tell your story, and discovering ways to contribute to the lives of others. These are changes that endure long after the competition ends.

For EMBODY, the stage may be where the journey becomes visible, but the most meaningful work happens in the days and months leading up to it—in the training sessions, the difficult decisions, the small victories, and the bonds forged along the way. Because sometimes, the most important personal record isn’t the one you set in the gym. It’s the one that reflects how far you’ve come, and what you choose to do with that growth.

EMBODY Philippines 2027 is a holistic competition rooted in movement, mindset, and meaningful action. It invites everyday athletes, wellness advocates, storytellers, and community leaders to step up and ask a simpler, deeper question: Who do you become when you commit to your own growth?

From the urban pulse of Manila to the sun-soaked, tide-swept coast of La Union, EMBODY bridges two distinct worlds onto a single stage. Where traditional pageantry leans into poise and Q&A, and fitness contests evaluate pure muscle tone and athletic output, EMBODY judges candidates across three connected dimensions: body, mind, and soul. It measures the movement and discipline built in training, the mental resilience and confidence discovered along the way, and the purpose carried back to the community.

EMBODY Philippines 2027 is a holistic competition developed by Lumina Events PH and produced by Cornerstone Entertainment. Applications are open to eligible men and women aged 18 to 45. Official competition mechanics and key dates will be announced through https://embodyphilippines.com/.
