What started as a shared vision between two longtime friends has now turned into a full-fledged partnership set to shake up the local media scene. Simpol.ph, the top integrated media community under Vertikal Kreatives Inc., owned by President and Chief Executive Officer Tatung Sarthou, has joined forces with ZNZ Film Productions, led by Chief Executive Officer Rey Ngo, to take Filipino storytelling to the next level through the much-awaited new Simpol.ph TV.

The goal is to create world-class content that doesn’t just entertain but also highlights the depth and richness of Filipino culture beyond just food.

Sarthou and Ngo go way back. They first crossed paths at ABS-CBN, where Sarthou was a host and Ngo was directing current affairs programs. Over time, their conversations kept circling back to one thing — the power of storytelling and their shared dream of creating something bigger.

“Even before this formal partnership, we’d always talk about what we could do together. We’d throw ideas around, but never really had the chance to make it happen,” Sarthou said. “Now that Simpol.ph has evolved into an integrated media community, we realized we needed a strong production partner to grow with us.”

ZNZ Films Production, known for its work in film, documentaries, and large-scale productions, was the perfect match. “Simpol.ph has a strong brand, but we bring in the production muscle,” Ego said. “This partnership allows us to create content that’s not just visually stunning, but also meaningful and impactful.”

Most people know Simpol.ph for its cooking content, but this collaboration is about so much more than food. With the launch of Simpol.ph TV, audiences can expect a wider variety of content, from lifestyle, entertainment and business content, to culture-driven stories.

“Filipino culture is incredibly diverse, and there’s so much more to explore beyond the kitchen,” Sarthou explained. “This partnership lets us dive deeper into the stories that matter.”

For Ngo, it’s about creating content that moves people. “Great storytelling isn’t just about making people feel something as it should inspire action,” he said. “We want our content to have a lasting impact, not just in the Philippines but around the world.”

“This is just the start,” Ngo said. “We’re building something that Filipinos everywhere can be proud of.”

Simpol.ph TV is set to roll out this month, and both teams are inviting millions of followers, subscribers, brands, companies, clients, partners, and organization, among other communities, to stay tuned for exciting new shows and projects. “We’re making life simple, but also more meaningful, with the stories we share together,” Sarthou said.
