A Legacy That Includes the Philippines
As MUO embarks on a new chapter, it does so on the foundation of a rich history that includes remarkable global stories—including the Philippines, one of the pageant’s most passionate and successful nations. Under past leadership, the Miss Universe stage saw Filipina beauty, strength, and intelligence shine brightly for the world to see.
Filipina queens like Gloria Diaz (1969), Margarita Moran (1973), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), and Catriona Gray (2018)have etched their names in pageant history, embodying the Miss Universe values of resilience, grace, and purpose. Their victories ignited national pride and inspired generations of young women not just in the Philippines, but across the globe.
Ahtisa Manalo: The Philippines’ Newest Hope
Continuing this legacy, Ahtisa Manalo of Quezon Province was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2025 on May 2, 2025, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay. Manalo, who previously placed as first runner-up at Miss International 2018 and reached the Top 10 at Miss Cosmo 2024, will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand on November 21, 2025.
