David Licauco continues to prove he’s not just a heartthrob and entrepreneur—he’s also an artist exploring new creative avenues. In a move that surprised many but delighted his fans, David dropped his debut single, “I Think I Love You,”under Universal Records.
Written by Luke April Isnani and Ivo Impreso, the track is a feel-good anthem about that moment you realize you’re catching feelings—relatable, lighthearted, and catchy. Its upbeat melody and playful lyrics make it an easy addition to your “kilig” playlist.
A Surprise Single Salubong in Poblacion
Just minutes before the song went live on streaming platforms, David hopped on a TikTok livestream while chilling at Lujo Bar in Poblacion, Makati. At the stroke of midnight, the mood turned electric when the DJ surprised everyone by playing “I Think I Love You” just as it dropped online. The crowd—and David—were caught off guard, making for a spontaneous and heartfelt celebration with fans both onsite and watching virtually.
From PBB Houseguest to Song Launch
Licauco’s release might feel out of left field, but it aligns with his “try everything” approach to life. During his Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition guesting, he opened up about wanting to explore different aspects of showbiz.
“I really just wanted to try everything—sa showbiz, sa buhay. One of those is releasing a song para po sa mga taong may gusto pero di pa niya masabi,” David shared inside Bahay ni Kuya.
PBB Housemates Dance It Out
The song even became part of a fun twist inside the PBB house. After David shared the story behind “I Think I Love You,” Kuya gave the Housemates a special challenge: form two teams, Team Kapuso and Team Kapamilya, and create original dance choreographies for the track.
Actor and dancer Will Ashley led Team Kapuso with slick formations and polished choreography, while Esnyrspearheaded Team Kapamilya with a more laid-back but creative approach, channeling the fun of school Christmas parties and barkada presentations.
In the end, David chose Team Kapamilya as the winning group, praising their synchronized effort and entertaining routine. His prize? A sweet treat—lollipops—which the Housemates happily shared and enjoyed.
A New Chapter for David
“I Think I Love You” is more than just a pop release—it’s a symbol of David Licauco’s willingness to explore, evolve, and connect with fans in new and unexpected ways. Whether he’s acting, running his businesses, or now, singing, David continues to show that he’s not afraid to take risks and just have fun with it.
