For many aspiring beauty queens, the journey does not end with one pageant but continues to evolve.

This is the story of Binibining Pilipinas International 2026 Gwendoline Meliz Soriano and Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2026 Sasha-Juli Belle Penuliar Lacuna, two women whose paths to the Binibining Pilipinas stage began at Miss Universe Philippines (MUPh) 2025.

Their victories prove that a single competition no longer defines pageantry.

It has become a course of growth, resilience, and purpose where experience builds character and every stage prepares a woman for the next opportunity.

Living with Grace, Style, and Purpose

Representing Baguio City at MUPh 2025, Soriano finished as a Top 12 semifinalist.

She had previously withdrawn from Binibining Pilipinas 2022 before returning to claim one of Philippine pageantry’s most prestigious crowns as Binibining Pilipinas International 2026. Besides earning the national title, she swept several special awards, including Best in Swimsuit, Best in Evening Gown, Binibining Philippine Airlines, and Binibining Urban Smiles.

Beyond the pageant stage, Soriano embraces a lifestyle rooted in creativity and self-improvement. A professional runway model, she has worked with renowned designers and fashion houses while building a career that embodies elegance and confidence.

A Mass Communication graduate, she is currently pursuing a second degree in real estate while drawing on her experience in marketing and social media management.

Behind every accomplishment is a personal story.

Soriano has shared that becoming a beauty queen was her lifelong dream, inspired by a promise to make her late father proud. During the final question-and-answer portion, she spoke about becoming an aspirational leader recognized not only for wearing a crown but also for possessing,

a big faith and a big heart”

—a philosophy that reflects the woman behind the title.

Beauty Rooted in Service

Like Soriano, Lacuna initially stepped onto the national stage through MUPh 2025, representing Tarlac and advancing to the Top 24.

Side by side in grace and purpose. Baguio’s Gwendoline Meliz Soriano and Tarlac’s Sasha-Juli Belle Penuliar Lacuna.

Her journey started long before pageantry.

Growing up on a farm in Tarlac, Lacuna faced childhood bullying because of her congenital skin condition, Nevus of Ota.

Rather than letting adversity characterize her, she turned it into a fount of strength, becoming an advocate for confidence, authenticity, and self-acceptance.

Currently studying Information Technology, Lacuna represents a new generation of beauty queens who combine intelligence, digital competence, and public influence. Her interest in technology fuels her activism, proving today’s queens are as comfortable discussing innovation as they are walking the runway.

During the competition’s question-and-answer rounds, Lacuna emphasized the importance of honoring boundaries in the information age and of using social media responsibly.

She shared a deeper aspiration—to dedicate her future to serving the Filipino people through charity and meaningful public service.

Reflecting on the Miss Universe Philippines stage that prepared Tarlac’s Sasha-Juli Belle Penuliar Lacuna for her historic Binibining Pilipinas title.

Her winning answer reflected the morals she hopes to embody as Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2026: compassion, humility, and service above self.

A Shared Beginning, A Common Purpose

Although their journeys are unique, Soriano and Lacuna share a meaningful connection. Both first represented their provinces on the MUPh 2025 stage before finding their place in the Binibining Pilipinas winners’ circle.

Other notable candidates from MUPh 2025 include Cauayan, Isabela’s Jarina Sandhu, who reached as Binibining Pilipinas Top 12; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro’s Ain Niqyla Abad, who emerged as MUPh Top 24; and Cavite’s Kaye Pastelero, whose participation illustrated the depth of representation in the competition.

Their stories illustrate how modern pageantry is more than a competition. It has evolved into a platform where women cultivate leadership, pursue education, champion advocacy, and inspire communities.

Either through Soriano’s message of belief and perseverance or Lacuna’s devotion to service and tolerance, both queens embody a lifestyle built on purpose rather than prestige.

Their Binibining Pilipinas victories are not just the result of years of preparation but the start of a greater mission to inspire, lead, and create meaningful impact beyond the crown.
