The October 16 benefit show brings together friends and fellow musicians to help cover Echo’s medical expenses and rehabilitation following a stroke. If you are to support the local music community and wants to help a pillar of the scene, a special upcoming fundraiser event deserves your time.
The Scene Unites For Echo
Looking back, Echo has always been deeply rooted in the industry.
For instance, he shares close ties with The Itchyworms because his older brother, Chino, joined the band. Back in 1999, Echo even co-founded Boldstar alongside Jazz Nicolas, Marie Jamora, and Justin Sunico. Over the years, he has worn many hats as a host, sound technician, production assistant, and lighting crew member. Unfortunately, on September 19, he suffered a stroke while hosting a March of the Penguins gig at Mow’s. Although he was rushed to East Avenue Medical Center, he is now showing small signs of improvement.
Rallying for Echo Singson
The local music community is stepping up in a big way. Friends and fellow musicians are uniting for “Alingawngaw Para Kay Echo,” a special benefit show. Basically, this event is designed to help cover medical expenses and rehabilitation for Echo Singson. Echo is a longtime fixture in the local music scene who is currently recovering from a stroke.
Details of the Benefit Gig
To support his journey, everyone is rallying behind him. The fundraising gig is happening on October 16 at 123 Block in Mandala Park, Mandaluyong City. Moreover, incredible acts like Ebe Dancel, Urbandub, The Itchyworms, The Ronnies, and The Revisors are stepping up to perform. Best of all, every single proceed goes directly toward his medical bills and rehab. Tickets are available at the venue on the day of the event, proving that Echo is surrounded by the message: he is not alone.
