Fresh off her RUBADGE win on the fourth episode of Drag Race Down Under vs. The World Season 1, Filipino drag sensation M1ss Jade So has released her newest track, “BAPHOMETA.” Released under Offshore Music and produced by Naive Supreme, the song mirrors the otherworldly aesthetic of her runway appearance.
Descending from her self-described esoteric realm, M1ss Jade So tackled the challenge’s “Wildlife Couture” category by evolving the simple concept of a goat into something far more complex. She created “BAPHOMETA,” an occult figure that fuses traditional occult imagery with her signature dark and subverted vision.

The Power of Provocation
I like creating art that is provocative,” M1ss Jade So explained.
This creative philosophy runs through her entire discography. From her bloody 2024 sex-pop debut track, “Power Top na Bratzy,” to her 2026 releases like the underground single “ESOTERICA” and the celestial “GODDESSA,” she continuously pushes conventional boundaries.
Despite the single’s dark imagery, the track maintains an engaging sense of irony.
Pette [Shabu] and I didn’t want BAPHOMETA to feel purely sinister or serious,” M1ss Jade So noted regarding her co-writer.
We wanted it to have this mad, destructive but almost playful energy, where you’re having fun with something that is actually quite dark underneath.”

Embracing Identity and Duality
The historical figure of Baphomet interested the artist largely because of its intrinsic symbolic dualities, such as masculine and feminine, light and dark, and divine and mortal.
That felt very connected to my own experience as a drag artist, where I constantly play with identity, beauty, and transformation,” M1ss Jade So shared.
“BAPHOMETA” is currently available on all major music streaming platforms. Fans in Manila can experience the visual companion to the track at an official music video watch party scheduled for September 5 at Hoesik in Makati.
