Reb Atadero Returns to the Samalamig Stage
Theater fans, mark your calendars! Samalamig Cold Readings is back for the second show of its third season on September 2, 2026, at SinePop in Cubao. Additionally, veteran theater actor and social media educator Reb Atadero is returning as the featured guest reader. He previously joined the show back in May. Now, he is stepping back onto the SinePop stage for another exciting session.
Over his two-decade career, Reb has worked with top Philippine theater companies like The Sandbox Collective, 9 Works Theatrical, and Repertory Philippines. Plus, he earned a prestigious Gawad Buhay Award for his starring role in Tick, Tick… Boom!
An Exciting Lineup of Original One-Act Plays
In addition to Reb’s comeback, the event features a vibrant lineup of original short plays.

First, Act 1 highlights three distinct works:
- Kier Medina-Yonson’s coming-of-age drama Konting Saya at Konting Luha
- Laurence de Vera’s drama/thriller Bloodshed (‘O ang tamang panahon para magdanak ng dugo)
- and Ron Evangelista’s romance Transitory Affections.
Next, Act 2 spotlights Multong Mali, a fresh play by Carlos Palanca Hall of Famer Joshua Lim So. Meanwhile, this event continues to serve as a creative playground for both artists and fans. As a result, audiences get a rare chance to discover new original Filipino stories and read scripts alongside veteran performers.
