Grand Hyatt Manila has done it again, bringing in a tremendous act from Las Vegas—an act full of tricks and illusions: The Clairvoyants at Grand Hyatt Manila, Thommy Ten and Amélie van Tass. The remarkable duo was discovered more than a decade ago during their run on America’s Got Talent, leaving even Simon Cowell himself speechless. Since then, the couple has performed across the United States and around the world, amazing tens of thousands of spectators.

I was fortunate to be around last September when Thommy visited the hotel to give a sneak peek of the show. It was an unforgettable experience, especially when I was called onstage to participate in the magic. Suffice it to say, I was left as speechless as the great Simon Cowell. Four months later, Thommy and Amélie’s act returns to the Philippines, and fans can once again witness The Clairvoyants at Grand Hyatt Manila.

My good friends Fran, Tiff, Eugene, and Mark warmly welcomed us to what I believe to be the highest point of any building in Bonifacio Global City: Penthouse No. 66. Dazzling welcome drinks were offered, and I drank it all in—the servers wearing masks, magical robes of many colors, and black top hats. The ambiance was complete. We were ready for the show featuring The Clairvoyants at Grand Hyatt Manila.

World Champions of Mental Magic, Thommy Ten and Amélie van Tass—known collectively as The Clairvoyants—continue to captivate global audiences with performances that have earned critical acclaim and standing ovations worldwide.

  1. The Clairvoyant Duo

The Clairvoyants have captivated audiences across the globe with their extraordinary performances. Thommy and Amélie are celebrated as World Champions of Mental Magic and recipients of the Academy of Magical Arts Award in Hollywood—often referred to as the “Oscar” of the magic world. Their tours continue to earn standing ovations and critical acclaim, solidifying their reputation as one of the most sought-after acts in contemporary magic. In the Philippines, they appear as virtual-reality hosts, their images speaking directly to guests from—yes—The Magic Table. Indeed, The Clairvoyants at Grand Hyatt Manila are a must-see for magic enthusiasts.

Jazz, the accomplished Filipino emcee, returns to Grand Hyatt Manila as the nightly host of The Magic Table, bringing her signature warmth and charm to the audience.
  1. The Host with the Most

Jazz, the magic show’s nightly host, is back for another run at the Grand Hyatt, and what a refreshing Filipino emcee she is. She is the same performer who brought joy to audiences of Le Petit Chef, another proud production of the Grand Hyatt. That show continues to draw full crowds at another venue in the hotel, but for now, its original host takes on duties at the new Magic Table. Think of The Magic Table as the “graduation table” after Le Petit Chef—perfect for a slightly older audience, teens and up.

As the sun dips below the horizon, the panoramic views from Grand Hyatt’s newest venue provide a stunning backdrop for an unforgettable evening.
  1. The Eye-Popping Venue

For the first time, the Grand Hyatt has opened its newest venue—sixty-six stories up—for this event. Upon entering, guests are greeted by staff dressed in magical attire, from hats to masks, as they take welcome drink orders. Penthouse No. 66 is stunning, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering sweeping views of the city below. I highly recommend attending the 6:00 p.m. show (there is another at 8:30 p.m.) to catch the priceless sunset over Manila Bay.

Guests of The Magic Table are treated to an extraordinary dining journey, where the Grand Hyatt’s expertly curated menu blends bold flavors, refined techniques, and imaginative presentation.
  1. The Magical Meal

The Grand Hyatt’s food and beverage team deserves high praise for crafting a dinner that beautifully complements The Magic Table. Allow me to sing the praises of the Wizard’s Essential Menu: forest and porcini mushroom pâté with hazelnut soil, fig, lemon, pistachio, and Manuka honey; butter-poached Hokkaido scallop with herb crust, sun-dried tomato, and crustacean bisque; crabmeat and codfish brandade with sake-marinated ikura and avocado; Mulwarra tenderloin beef Wellington with bone marrow and café de Paris butter jus; and chocolate and hazelnut sphere with espresso, chocolate brownie, cherry sorbet, and bourbon sac.

Hallelujah for the beef Wellington—it was mouthwatering and indescribably delicious. Easily on par with that of Gordon Ramsay himself, the meat struck a perfect balance between rare and medium, embraced by a beautifully baked crust. Simply wow.

Blending storytelling, sensory surprises, and intimate performance, The Magic Table offers an unforgettable journey into the art of illusion.
  1. You Are a Keeper of Magic

I will not reveal any of the illusions created by Thommy Ten and Amélie van Tass; suffice it to say, guests at The Magic Table can expect an evening unlike any other. The experience is designed to immerse diners in a world of wonder, where they become part of the magic itself. Each performance blends storytelling, sensory surprises, and illusion in an intimate setting. The atmosphere is carefully crafted to transport guests into a realm of enchantment—ensuring that every moment is memorable and, yes, unforgettable. Clearly, The Clairvoyants at Grand Hyatt Manila offer a one-of-a-kind magical journey.
