As global food supply networks adapt to rapid technological shifts and changing consumer preferences, Southeast Asia’s culinary landscape continues to redefine itself. At the center of this transformation stands the Philippines’ definitive food and beverage marketplace; The World Food Expo (WOFEX).

Scheduled to run from July 29 through August 1, 2026, the gathering will assemble thousands of manufacturers, distributors, executive chefs, and enterprise decision-makers across Metro Manila.

Promoted as “The Ultimate Food Show Experience,” WOFEX 2026 provides a critical intersection where commercial enterprise meets culinary craft. The four-day trade show offers attendees an immersive look into upcoming ingredients, commercial processing technology, and frontline hospitality trends.

Strategic Division: A Dual-Venue Sourcing Ecosystem

To accommodate the expansive floor space required by hundreds of global and domestic exhibitors, organizers have maintained the event’s hallmark dual-venue format. Two of Pasay City’s major convention spaces. The SMX Convention Center Manila and the World Trade Center Metro Manila. These two venues will host specialized exhibition zones tailored to distinct sectors of the market.

Spanning two levels, the SMX Convention Center halls focus on immediate sourcing and service operations. On the ground level, Fine Foods presents finished retail products, specialty imports, and regional delicacies designed for retail stock and food distribution. Up on the second floor, FoodServe showcases commercial coffee systems, tea products, bar essentials, and complete Hotel, Restaurant, Café/Catering (HORECA) equipment.

Functioning as the industrial backbone of the expo, this facility highlights heavy baking machinery, commercial food packaging, preservation technologies, cold-chain logistics, and the newly integrated Agri-Food Products hall. The venue also features the Frozen Food Zone, emphasizing international poultry and meat imports.

To ensure seamless transit between both hubs, complimentary shuttle buses will run continuously between SMX and the World Trade Center every 30 minutes for registered attendees.

Precision and Mastery: The 15th Philippine Culinary Cup

Beyond trade agreements and commercial sourcing, WOFEX serves as a proving ground for culinary skill. A main feature of the 2026 expo is the Philippine Culinary Cup (PCC), now celebrating its 15th year.

As the country’s only competition certified by the World Association of Chefs’ Societies (WACS), the PCC draws culinary teams from top hotels, fine-dining restaurants, and international academies. Competitors will be evaluated across rigorous hot-cooking, live preparation, and pastry disciplines by a panel of international WACS-accredited judges.
