What if you could explore the world without leaving the city? Fortunately, you do not always need a plane ticket to discover new flavors. Instead, all you need is a little curiosity, an appetite, and a willingness to try something different.

That was the idea behind The Great Clara Olé Food Trip, which brought international flavors to Quezon City through chef-crafted dishes, interactive activities, and destination-inspired bites. At the same time, the experience showed how Clara Olé’s new Multipurpose Sauces and Cake Spreads can help home cooks explore flavors from around the world.

A World of Flavors on One Menu

The journey began at Brutal by Wadoughs, where chef and entrepreneur Wado Siman created a four-course tasting menu featuring Clara Olé’s Multipurpose Sauces.

The journey began at Brutal by Wadoughs, where chef and entrepreneur Wado Siman prepared a four-course tasting menu showcasing the versatility of Clara Olé’s Multipurpose Sauces.

Rather than simply presenting the sauces on their own, Siman incorporated them into dishes inspired by different culinary traditions. As a result, each course offered a fresh interpretation of familiar flavors while highlighting the versatility of the products.

First, the Paella Pani Puri brought together two iconic food traditions. Paella traces its roots to Valencia, Spain, while pani puri remains a popular Indian street snack made with crisp, hollow puris. By combining the two, Siman paired the flavors of paella with the playful, bite-sized format of pani puri. Clara Olé Paella Blend, in turn, brought the flavors together.

Next, the Crab Chawanmushi took inspiration from Japan’s delicate steamed egg custard. Here, Siman combined the silky custard with crab and Clara Olé Aligue Flavored Blend. Consequently, the dish gained a richer and more indulgent character while retaining the delicate quality of traditional chawanmushi.

After that, the menu traveled to Italy with Beef Tortellini en Brodo. Siman served the stuffed pasta in a savory broth and used Clara Olé Tomato Guisado Blend to deepen its flavor. In this way, a classic Italian comfort dish gained a distinctly flavorful twist.

Finally, Steamed Sea Bass with Ginger & Garlic brought the menu back to Asian-inspired flavors. Siman paired the delicate fish with Clara Olé Ginger & Garlic Blend, creating a refined dish around a familiar combination.

Each dish drew inspiration from a different culinary tradition.

Together, the four dishes demonstrated how versatile sauces can inspire new interpretations of well-loved dishes.

Eight Stops, Countless Discoveries

The adventure continued at the TriNoma Activity Center.

From there, the food trip continued at the TriNoma Activity Center. This time, visitors could explore eight stops inspired by different parts of the world, from East Asia to the Mediterranean.

Along the way, guests discovered savory creations such as Ginger & Garlic Dumplings, Aligue Rice Cups, Tomato Guisado Mini Tacos, and Paella. Meanwhile, those looking for something sweet could enjoy Cinnamon Cream Cheese Waffles, Black Forest cream puffs, strawberries and cream scones, and Peach Mango Suman.

In addition to the food, the event featured interactive booth activities where thousands of mall-goers could earn prizes and tokens. Moreover, event partners The Travel Club and Res Toe Run, both under the Primer Group of Companies, added luggage displays and discount vouchers to the experience.

Because of this, the Great Clara Olé Food Trip became more than a series of food samples. Instead, every stop gave visitors an opportunity to discover flavors, stories, and culinary traditions through food and activities.

Bring the Adventure Home

The Great Clara Olé Food Trip celebrated a simple idea: discovering new flavors does not always require traveling far.
