For travelers and guests, sustainability reports such as this matter because they reveal how major destinations affect the environment and communities behind the experience. When a resort reduces waste, conserves energy, and supports local livelihoods, it directly improves the quality and responsibility of every stay. This makes visits not only enjoyable but also more meaningful, as each experience contributes to broader social and environmental progress.

Okada Manila’s 2025 ESG Report highlights a strengthened commitment to responsible hospitality through its Okada Green Heart program, delivering measurable outcomes across environmental, social, and governance priorities. As the Philippines’ largest Forbes 5-star integrated resort, the property continues to align luxury tourism with sustainability by embedding efficiency, innovation, and community impact into its core operations.

Across the broader Okada Food Rescue Program for the year, the initiative successfully recovered more than 2,000 kilograms of surplus food, redistributed over 11,873 meals, and reduced approximately 7,152 kilograms of CO₂ emissions.

Key Sustainability Outcomes in 2025

The report outlines tangible progress across major operational areas, reinforcing a structured approach to long-term sustainability:

  • Elimination of up to 2 million single-use plastic bottles annually through on-site water bottling via the Nordaq system
  • Recovery and redistribution of over 9,000 meals, supporting food security initiatives
  • Reduction of approximately 5,500 kilograms of CO₂ emissions through food rescue programs
  • Expansion of 100% LED lighting transition and smart energy systems
  • Introduction of the first EV charging station in Entertainment City

These initiatives reflect a shift from policy-based sustainability to measurable operational impact.

In what has become its single largest charitable contribution thus far, the Okada Foundation, Inc. (OFI) donated P500 million worth of medical equipment to the Department of Health (DOH).
