Having the access to proper medical services and necessary healthcare facilities is a vital part of a community’s ability to serve and enrich its people. With this, innovative ideas and initiatives being done by both public and private groups are now highly being integrated into different areas to alleviate a community’s certain need.
In Parañaque, mobile clinics are hitting the road to bring better health and services the people highly and truly deserve.

Healthcare on wheels, at your doorstep!
In a major boost for local medical services, the Okada Foundation Inc. recently handed over two state-of-the-art mobile clinics to Ospital ng Parañaque Districts 1 and 2. Here is how this PHP 39.6 million donation is changing the game for local healthcare.
These aren’t just any vans; they are essentially “mini health centers” designed to bridge the gap between hospitals and homes. By launching these units, OFI is helping the City Government of Parañaque. This aims to reach residents in far-flung barangays who often struggle with distance or mobility.
Instead of patients traveling miles for a check-up, the doctors are coming to them. OFI President James Lorenzana highlighted that healthcare becomes far more meaningful when it meets people exactly where they live.

Okada Foundation Inc. is proud to support the City Government of Parañaque in bringing timely, reliable, and essential medical services to more communities. We believe that healthcare becomes more meaningful when it is brought closer to the communities it serves.”
A high-tech medical suite made accessible to Every Juan
Each mobile clinic packs a serious punch when it comes to medical tech.
These mobile clinics are equipped with essential medical services. In many ways, you can consider them as mini health centers that can be used for medical missions,” Lorenzana added.
To ensure residents receive top-tier care, the units come fully equipped with diagnostic tools such as onboard X-ray machines, ultrasound equipment, and blood chemistry analysis. Adding to this are the functional spaces dedicated examination room, laboratory sink, and an examination bed. And most essentially, each unit features its own water supply and a complete electrical system—including generator sets—to keep the lights, ventilation, and air conditioning running even in areas with zero infrastructure.
Bringing the mission to life
The foundation officially handed over the keys during a ceremony at Parañaque City Hall on May 4, 2026. Mayor Edwin L. Olivarez accepted the donation alongside Okada Manila Board Member Mitsukazu Nakata, following the morning flag ceremony.
With these units now in service, Parañaque’s medical teams can respond faster and provide on-site treatments or early diagnoses that save lives. By investing in these mobile facilities, the Okada Foundation Inc. is doing more than just donating equipment, it is helping build a more responsive and accessible healthcare system for every Filipino community.
