Mosh Mosh, Kumusta from baddies YUKIPOYO and Zae!
Two baddies meet miles short as they are shooting their MV with latest remix collab “Te-Te GAL”.
Representing Filipina and morena beauty, hip-hop rapper Zae has been dropping major heat with breakout tracks like “SUBOMOTO” (which features a massive remix with Hev Abi) and her high-energy Alex Bruce collaboration, “A to Z (Drop It)”.
In addition to these hits, she has also shown off her incredible versatility in the visual-heavy track “KARMEN” alongside Loir. Recently, Zae teamed up with Japanese gyal icon YUKIPOYO for a borderless, cross-country track called “Te-Te Gal”.
For context, YUKIPOYO, traditionally known as a featured vocalist collaborating with rapper SLOTH—brings a massive fashion and music statement to the table. Her background includes the melancholic love song “Aitai Aenai” (which even got an English club remix) and “Mekkawa ~Issei Gal Sengen!~,” an upbeat, rap-infused pop track celebrating gal culture that even landed a digital remix by DJ Hello Kitty.

Ultimately, baddie-to-baddie, this collab is perfectly bridging cultures and representing ultimate girl power! As a result, the track serves as a massive anthem for shared girlhood. As you’re reading this, the music video should be out already.
Here’s a little girl guide on what happened during their presscon!
Haponesa Meets Pinay
The ultimate cross-border link-up is officially happening as Japanese pop star YUKIPOYO and Pinay hip-hop sensation Zae join forces for the highly anticipated “Te-Te Gal” Tagalog remix! It all started in the most relatable, modern way possible: YUKIPOYO was scrolling through Instagram when Zae’s killer style completely captured her attention.
After diving into Zae’s music—which has already earned her a massive reputation and over 580,000 monthly Spotify listeners—YUKIPOYO knew she had to collaborate as soon as she could.
Now, the duo is in Manila shooting a brand-new music video to accompany the track’s release this Friday.

This project is incredibly personal for both artists; when asked about reconnecting with her Filipino roots during their media session, YUKIPOYO explained,
Because my mom is Filipino, and I really like filipino food. I really want to connect the gyal/gyaru culture to the Philippines.”
For Zae, whose track “SUBOMOTO REMIX” with Pinoy rap titan Hev Abi earned a nomination for Hip-Hop Song of the Year at the first Filipino Music Awards in 2025, this moment is a vital event for representation.
She emphasized its importance, saying,
It’s very special to me. I want every young halfies to hear the song, and you know, to hear the tagalog verse and be like, yo that’s my culture!, that’s my language.”
and confidently added,
I wanna put Filipino Hiphop on the map, Worldwide. Period”.
When asked what parting advice they had for their fans, YUKIPOYO simply urged them to,
Be a gyaru”,
while Zae playfully translated the vibe for the crowd:
She said be a baddie”.
Ultimately, this collaboration truly showcases merging cultures in one experiential note.
Being a girl!
Gyaru and Filipina Hiphop Sensibilities
Beyond the music, this collaboration is a beautiful celebration of modern womanhood, seamlessly blending vibrant Gyaru sensibilities with bold Pinay hip-hop energy.

When discussing how they weave the female experience into their craft, Zae shared that it naturally guides her entire process:
Just by being feminine, just being in flowstate. Just being rigged, just being open. That’s feminine energy in general. So I put that in everything I do. Regardless if it’s music, art, and fashion. That’s it”.
Meanwhile, YUKIPOYO champions the core philosophy of Gyaru culture to its heart, defining it as,
Being a girl(gyaru) who is positive and lively.”
before perfectly tying the two worlds together in Tagalog: “parang Pilipino!”

YUKIPOYO and Zae also brought in a gyal vibe on stage with a live performance of the collab track!
Te-Te Gal Tagalog Remix is Now!
This cross-border collaboration highlights the half-Filipina, half-Japanese star as a fearless, fashion-forward tastemaker, proving that she is a multifaceted artist unafraid to challenge expectations through both style and sound.
The track itself—originally produced by Tokyo heavy-hitter XLII and known for its jittery beats, percussive grunts, and bizarre sonic textures—serves as the perfect high-energy canvas for these two powerhouses.
With Zae’s explosive momentum in the local scene and YUKIPOYO’s commanding rap performance, this upbeat bop captures both artists at their most confident.
The gyal tagalog remix should be out now, as we speak.
So make sure to turn it up with Te-Te Gal Tagalog Remix!
