At just 19 years old, Paco Pastor is already making serious waves in Manila’s music scene. In fact, his deep passion for soul music started at a very young age. Since then, he has taken a hands-on, self-produced approach to writing, recording, and shaping his own sound.

Eventually, Paco’s rapid momentum caught the attention of Ely Buendia’s record label. After performing live with a full band and jamming with seasoned musicians at Waddle House Manila, he officially joined Offshore Music.

A Fresh Soul Sound from Manila

Back in 2025, he introduced himself with his debut single “There Somehow”. Shortly after, he released his four-track EP, Gotta Be, featuring “Talking to the Moon”. Later that year, he showed off a softer side with his warm holiday track, “Hey Dear”. Eventually, in 2026, Paco took the next big step in his career.

Music Keeps On Movin’

His latest release, “Keep It Moving”, is all about pushing forward despite the odds. Indeed, Paco wrote the track as his own rendition of the term “this too shall pass”. The song connects directly to his early struggles as an independent creator trying to find an audience on his own. Reflecting on how far he has come, Paco shared,

At the time, I wasn’t validated for my art in music at all, and I was just an independent creator. To be recognized by a label, have a manager willing to put up with my schedule, and have praise from people after I get off stage means so much”.

Translating Persistence into Dance

In addition, the single dropped on September 4 alongside a brand-new music video. To convey its message, Paco chose dancing as the central theme. Surprisingly, he finished making the track in just an hour. Commenting on the fast pace, Paco admitted,

Because of how quick-paced the song is, I knew it had to be about dancing somehow. So instead of writing lyrics that spoke in a literal sense, I translated the feeling of resistance and persistence into lyrics about dancing.”

Ultimately, Paco hopes to share positivity with his listeners. As he nicely puts it,

It’s a funky feeling that keeps you moving”.
