Quezon City — In a night where rhythm, skill, and creativity converged, Hotel Sogo concluded the inaugural SOGO Dance Revolution. This is a nationwide competition spotlighting emerging Filipino dance talent. Ride Safe Crew emerged as the overall champion. They took home cash prizes, a staycation package, and the title of official Hotel Sogo Dance Ambassador. Notably, this event marks the beginning of the annual Hotel Sogo Dance Revolution 2026, promising even more opportunities for passionate performers in the coming year.
The grand finals brought together hotel executives, media partners, invited guests, and supporters to witness seven finalist crews deliver electrifying performances. These crews hailed from Marilao, Bulacan; San Fernando, Pampanga; Teresa, Rizal; Quezon City; Taguig; North Caloocan; and Tondo, Manila. Therefore, the event reflected the competition’s nationwide reach and the vibrant diversity of Filipino dance communities. The energy at Hotel Sogo Dance Revolution 2026 showed how dance can connect participants and cities across the country.

Finalists were chosen from hundreds of online submissions posted on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram. Entries were evaluated on public engagement and technical merit, with top performers advancing to the live finals. Onstage, the crews were judged on choreography, dance skills, creativity, overall presentation, social media engagement, and stage presence. In fact, Hotel Sogo Dance Revolution 2026 is set to raise the bar even higher by encouraging even broader participation via new digital channels.
The judging panel blended expertise from dance, hospitality, and public service. It was led by dancer and content creator Andrea Pauline Brillantes; choreographer Jam Medina; Swaggy Eleven; Hotel Sogo sector head Cristy Santiago; and Indigenous Peoples’ advocate Jennifer Pia Sibug-Las. Their careful assessment ensured a balanced recognition of both talent and the power to engage audiences online.

Ride Safe Crew’s dynamic performance earned them the championship title, while Xtremelimit Dance Crew and M.Y. Crew placed second and third, respectively. M.Y. Crew also claimed the Most Engaged Dance Group on Social Media award for generating the highest online interaction throughout the competition. Intermission performances and special stage numbers by the judges enhanced the evening’s energy, creating a seamless rhythm between competition rounds and entertainment. Furthermore, Hotel Sogo Dance Revolution 2026 will continue this tradition of celebrating both competition and community in the dance world.
Hotel Sogo corporate marketing head Sue Geminiano emphasized the competition’s broader purpose:
“Hotel Sogo Dance Revolution was created not just to showcase talent, but to give people a stage where dreams can move, stories can be told, and confidence can grow. Behind every hardworking Filipino is a dream waiting for its chance. Dance is more than movement—it’s expression, healing, and hope. Just like a stay at Hotel Sogo, it’s a release after long days of work, and a reminder that talent exists everywhere, no matter the background.”

Designed to engage both live and online audiences, SOGO Dance Revolution provided a platform for Filipino dancers to shine while fostering community through shared passion. Its inaugural success has inspired Hotel Sogo to envision a second season. This cements the competition as a recurring national showcase for creativity, talent, and youthful ambition.
With the first season now concluded, SOGO Dance Revolution leaves behind more than trophies and prizes; it affirms a vision where Filipino artistry, perseverance, and digital engagement intersect—a celebration of movement, culture, and possibility. Looking ahead, Hotel Sogo Dance Revolution 2026 promises to bring even more talent, excitement, and national pride to the dance stage.
