Gab Cabangon rediscovers his passion for music in 5-track EP, Learn to Love Again’ The Awit Awards Best New Artist nominee turns personal disappointments, emotional exhaustion, and
the courage to begin again into a five-song release, led by the healing anthem “Love Again”.
If you have ever felt completely burned out or overwhelmed by life’s heavy grind, Filipino singer-songwriter Gab Cabangon has a brand new musical project that might just speak right to your soul.
Igniting the Spark Again
Filipino singer-songwriter Gab Cabangon is officially stepping back into the spotlight with his debut 5-track EP, Learn to Love Again, released via Underdog Music.

Furthermore, the Awit Awards Best New Artist nominee treats this release as an open diary detailing his personal emotional exhaustion, creative burnout, and the courage it takes to start fresh.
As he explains,
I did realize in the process of developing the songs of Learn to Love Again that I didn’t have to be alone and that I do have my wife, my family, my friends, and a community to lean on when the going gets tough.”
The Heart of the EP
Serving as the emotional centerpiece, the focus track “Love Again” was actually penned after Cabangon took a much-needed break from music during the pandemic. Consequently, instead of pushing himself past his limits, he learned valuable lessons about slowing down. He notes,
I think it taught me to rest and to pause… That I didn’t have to be impatient and do music non-stop. It didn’t make me less of an artist.”
Moreover, the rest of the tracklist—featuring songs like “Ikot Ulit,” “Pieces,” “Kama,” and “ngayon at kailanman”—carries listeners through a relatable journey of frustration, vulnerability, and genuine healing.
A Collaborative Journey
Ultimately, this vulnerable body of work came to life thanks to a close-knit circle of talented collaborators, including producer David Lina, mixing engineers Shadiel Chan and Jan Fuertez, and guitarist Cha Martinez.

By leaning on his community and taking things at his own pace, Cabangon ultimately reminds us that
learning to love again isn’t necessarily linear,”
and that life is never truly a race.
