The landscape of healthcare in the Philippines is currently facing critical challenges.

Ranging from rising out-of-pocket medical expenses to a widespread lack of preparedness for unexpected illnesses.

Therefore, to address these pressing concerns and encourage a more proactive approach to well-being, Sun Life Grepa Financial, Inc. has officially launched a comprehensive new health insurance initiative.

A New Movement for Health and Wellness

Specifically, Sun Life Grepa recently launched its new “H.I.P. for All” healthcare campaign at the H.I.P. Fest 2026 mall event.

Actor and former national athlete Enchong Dee joins Sun Life Grepa Financial, Inc. as the official ambassador for its new “H.I.P. for All” inclusive healthcare campaign.

For this initiative, they teamed up with actor and former national athlete Enchong Dee to push for inclusive health insurance across the Philippines.

Because rising out-of-pocket medical costs are hitting families hard, the program focuses heavily on healthy living, early detection, financial support, and recovery care.

Ultimately, the goal is to shift the focus toward preventing illnesses before they happen.

Proactive Living and Personal Advocacy

As the campaign’s ambassador, Enchong Dee highlighted the vital importance of proactive well-being.

He shared,

Our health is truly our greatest asset.

This includes not only physical health, but also mental well-being, and financial readiness. Taking care of ourselves starts with the choices we make every day—staying active, getting regular health checkups, seeking early treatment when needed, and preparing financially for the unexpected in life,”

Furthermore, he added,

Kapag healthy at protektado ka, ready ka for more.

This is the mindset that I’d like to advocate to fellow Filipinos so they can prepare for life’s uncertainties and genuinely live with confidence,”

Welcoming him to the movement, Sun Life Grepa President Richard S. Lim explained,

When we looked for an ambassador, we wanted someone who reflects what H.I.P. stands for— someone who values one’s health, stays informed, and does proactive steps to protect himself and his loved ones from the uncertainties of life. That’s why we are proud to have Enchong join in this movement,”.

Redefining Insurance in a Hard Financial Reality

Lim also pointed out how deeply health issues affect everyday Filipino families.

He explained that health is no longer just a medical matter, but has become a major financial and family crisis that stands as one of the biggest worries for local households today. Because of this, he believes the industry needs to change how it looks at success.

In his view, an insurance company shouldn’t just judge its success by the claims it pays out, but also by the illnesses it actively helps prevent. This prevention-focused approach is exactly the kind of future they are trying to build through this new program.

Ultimately, the goal is to give people more quality time with their families.

As Lim concluded, the heart of the campaign is about helping people secure their finances for the long run and live healthier lives, because the most valuable gift they can protect isn’t just someone’s income or savings, but their opportunity to have more days ahead and share meaningful moments with the people they love.
