There are many variations of this classic Pinoy dish, but here’s a recipe that you will surely enjoy! Crispy pork belly on top of delicious thick peanut sauce! Watch the video for the whole procedure!

Serves 6 to 8.

INGREDIENTS:

*Use the Simpol Crispy Pork Belly recipe for the pork.

Set A (Sauce):

  • 1 head garlic, minced
  • 2 pieces onion, chopped
  • ½ cup annatto seeds
  • ½ cup flour
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 4-5 cups beef stock
  • Oil, as needed, to make annatto oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Set B (Vegetables):

  • 1 piece banana heart, core removed
  • 12 pieces sitaw (long beans)
  • 2 pieces eggplant
  • 1 bunch native pechay
