Enchanted Kingdom (EK) marked its 31st anniversary on October 17 with Fiesta ng Saribuhay, a celebration of Filipino culture, music, and the country’s rich natural heritage. The milestone brought together festive performances, new attraction experiences, and homegrown talent at the theme park in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
As the Philippines’ first and only world-class theme park, EK used the occasion to highlight the traditions, creativity, and community spirit that have shaped its three-decade journey.
Celebrating the Filipino Spirit
The anniversary theme reflects EK’s commitment to showcasing what makes Filipinos unique. According to Nico R. Mamon, EK’s 31st Anniversary Chairman, the celebration recognizes the people who have been part of the park’s story since its opening.
Inspired by the Philippine eagle and the anniversary song Lipad, the festivities highlighted the Filipino values of Lakas, Talino, at Katatagan. These qualities also serve as the foundation for the park’s upcoming experiences and offerings.
A Deeper Look at Philippine Biodiversity
One of the anniversary’s highlights was the continued development of AGILA The EKsperience: SARIBUHAY, the park’s award-winning flying theater attraction.
The experience features updated areas designed to deepen visitors’ appreciation of the environment and the Philippine eagle. These include a new entry experience, the Ang Kwento ng Agila walkthrough, which shares more stories about the attraction and the country’s national bird.
Visitors can also explore PUGAD, the attraction’s concept store, which now offers an improved thematic experience.
Through these additions, EK encourages guests to learn more about the country’s biodiversity and the importance of protecting its natural heritage.
Music, Dance, and a Night of Celebration
The anniversary festivities began with Filipino dance performances at the park’s front gate and Victoria Park. Later, EK Storyverse characters and their friends from Saribuhay Village joined the Fiesta ng Saribuhay Anniversary Parade.
The parade led to a concert at the Spaceport Grounds, featuring Filipino artists across different genres. Performers included FYNE, Prince Liu, indie band Sacred Red, P-pop girl group XONARA, and award-winning R&B singer-songwriter Dionela.
EK’s homegrown talents also introduced their anniversary releases. Kingsmen performed a festive remix of Saribuhay, while P-pop girl group SMS presented Lipad. Both songs are available on major music streaming platforms.
The celebration ended with Lipad ng Agila: A Pyromusical Fiesta, combining fireworks with the imagery of the Philippine eagle soaring across the night sky.
Keeping the Magic Alive
With the support of its partners, sponsors, and tenant establishments, Fiesta ng Saribuhay brought together entertainment, Filipino pride, and environmental awareness.
