Simpol Cooking Notes:Ā
- Adding a small amount of oil to butter helps prevent the butter from burning too quickly.
- For a more flavorful soppy joe filing, allow the ground beef and sauce to simmer until the mixture thickens. This helps the flavors fully develop and prevents the fillingĀ from becoming too watery when served in the bun.
- When boiling potatoes for fries, adding a small amount of vinegar to the water helps strengthen the surface of the potatoes. This allows the fries to hold their shape better and become crispier when fried.Ā
- Double-frying is an effective technique for achieving extra-crispy fries. The first fry cooks the potatoes through, while the second fry creates a golden, crunchy exterior.Ā
- Sloppy Joe is highly customizable. You can add vegetables such as onion, lettuce, and tomatoes or with your preferred cheese to create a richer flavor and texture that suits your taste.Ā
