You’ve likely heard Zae holding her own in various collabs with male hiphop icons.
However, a quick look at her solo discography proves she is a true force on her own.
She has been consistently dropping heat, with major albums and mixtapes like I can be the one (Released in 2025) and her massive STREETZ MIXTAPE (Released in 2026).
Professionally known simply as Zae, Zae Zacarias is a rising 24-year-old Filipina rapper, singer, and dancer from the Philippines.
She is widely known for her fierce visual style and a versatile trap and hip-hop sound. Through her music, she fiercely champions Filipino women and speaks out against misogyny in the music industry.
Zae’s music first exploded on TikTok with her track “Serve”. Since then, her independent releases have gained serious international traction. In fact, her Tagalog lyrics were notably featured in the Netflix series “The Gentlemen”. Furthermore, she has collaborated with notable acts in the scene such as Hev Abby and Alex Bruce, as well as Japanese pop artist Yukipoyo.
Consequently, Zae is Filipina-representing in the newest collab with gyaru icon YUKIPOYO’s ”Te-Te Gal” Tagalog Remix and Music Video.
Breaking Barriers in Filipino Rap
From her previous Billboard Philippines Interview, When Zae was starting her career, there was really nothing for independent female artists, so they had to go with barebones. Reflecting on that grind in a Billboard Philippines interview, she shared:
Mas marami nang platform ngayon, and I’m so happy na, and so honored to be in Filipino Music Awards.”
Meanwhile, the ultimate cross-border link-up is officially happening!

Japanese pop star YUKIPOYO and Pinay hip-hop sensation Zae are joining forces for the highly anticipated “Te-Te Gal” Tagalog remix.
Interestingly, it all started in the most relatable, modern way possible. YUKIPOYO was simply scrolling through Instagram when Zae’s killer style completely captured her attention.
Now, the duo is in Manila shooting a brand-new music video to accompany the track’s release this Friday.
On Femininity And Representation
During the “Te-Te Gal” Presscon, Zae quotes this moment as a vital event for representation.
She emphasized its importance, saying,
It’s very special to me. I want every young halfies to hear the song, and you know, to hear the tagalog verse and be like, yo that’s my culture!, that’s my language.”
and confidently added,
I wanna put Filipino Hiphop on the map, Worldwide. Period”.

When discussing how they weave the female experience into their craft, Zae shared that it naturally guides her entire process:
Just by being feminine, just being in flowstate. Just being rigged, just being open. That’s feminine energy in general. So I put that in everything I do. Regardless if it’s music, art, and fashion. That’s it”.
Te-Te Gal All The Way!
Ultimately, Zae’s contribution to the hiphop scene proves that she’s someone to watch out for.

With Zae’s explosive momentum in the local scene and YUKIPOYO’s commanding rap performance, this upbeat bop captures both artists at their most confident.
As a matter of fact, the gyal tagalog remix should be out now, as we speak.
