The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of Asia’s most cherished traditions, second only to Chinese New Year. In Manila, families mark it with mooncakes, reunions, and evenings under the full moon. This October, City of Dreams Manila joins the celebration by offering a symbolic feast at Crystal Dragon and limited-edition mooncakes at Café Society.

Feast at Crystal Dragon
From October 1 to 19, Crystal Dragon serves a special à la carte menu that blends cultural symbolism with refined flavors. Each dish highlights abundance, prosperity, and harmony.
-
Double-boiled 10-head Abalone with fish maw, blaze mushroom, cordyceps flower, and baby pork ribs symbolizes wealth and longevity.
-
Braised Stuffed Whole Sea Cucumber with minced pork in supreme oyster sauce represents nourishment and resilience.
-
Deep-fried Live Sea Grouper with saffron orange peel vinaigrette signals prosperity and balance.
-
Braised Freshwater Crayfish, Szechuan style reflects vibrancy and strength.
-
Tea-smoked Eight Treasures Rice wrapped in dehydrated lotus leaf honors unity and blessings.
For dessert, the restaurant pairs Cranberry Mango Lava Snow Skin Mooncake with an Oven-baked Traditional Mini Red Bean Mooncake, served alongside Chilled Honey Lemon Tea with fresh pomelo and malva nut.
“Every ingredient is chosen with meaning,” a Crystal Dragon chef shared. “We want families to taste those blessings together.”
Gift Mooncakes at Café Society
All October, Café Society sells limited-edition White Lotus Seed Paste with Double Egg Yolk Mooncakes. Packaged in elegant boxes of four, these mooncakes symbolize harmony and prosperity. They are perfect for sharing with loved ones or as thoughtful gifts.
