No-bake Macaroni and Cheese

Macaroni and Cheese is a classic favorite in everyday mealtimes and special occasions. It is a festive recipe that can be enjoyed at any time of the day. And to lessen the cooking time of this delightful dish, here is the No-bake Macaroni and Cheese that can be savored immediately after the pasta is cooked.

Add your preferred seasonings to make this dish even more delicious. You could even include a bit of spice if you’d like a spicy serving, or you could mix in some mozzarella to make the cheese sauce stretchy, creating a creamier cheese sauce to accompany your savory macaroni.


Ingredients

Set A:
400 g. macaroni noodles
3 ½ cups water or chicken stock, for boiling pasta
1 Tbsp. salt, for cooking pasta
Set B:
1 Tbsp. cooking oil
1 pc. medium onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup carrot, minced
1 pc. red bell pepper, minced
¼ kg. ground beef
3 pcs. hotdog
500 g. Filipino-Style Spaghetti Sauce
Salt and cracked black pepper, to taste
½ cup grated cheese, for toppings
Set C (Bechamel Sauce):
1 cup quick melt cheese, grated
1 tsp. garlic, minced
2 cups all-purpose cream
Salt and pepper, to taste
Set D:
½ cup butter
½ cup flour

Instructions

  1. In a pot, heat the oil. Sauté the garlic, onion, carrot, and red bell pepper. Season with salt, then add the ground beef. Season with dried basil.
  2. Pour the chicken stock in. Cover and let it boil for 5 – 6 minutes. Once it starts boiling, add the macaroni noodles. Mix. Cover and let it cook for 5 minutes.
  3. While waiting for the pasta to cook, prepare the sauce. In a bowl, mix butter and flour. Combine it together until it becomes a paste.In a pan, add the cooking cream, quick melt cheese, and garlic. Mix. Leave it to cook until the cheese has melted.
  4. Check on the pasta to see if it is cooked. Make sure to mix, so the pasta cooks evenly. When the pasta is halfway cooked, add the hotdogs and spaghetti sauce. Mix. Cover and let it cook until the pasta is fully cooked.
  5. When the cheese has melted into the sauce, add the butter-flour mixture. Season with salt and black pepper.
  6. Add cheese to the pasta to make it cheesier. Mix. Add the butter-flour mixture. Mix.
  7. Once cooked, transfer the pasta to a baking dish. Flatten it so the top is even. Pour the sauce on top. Flatten it.

You can enjoy this No-bake Macaroni and Cheese at any time because of how quick and easy it is to cook. Just cook all the portions, arrange it into one dish and savor it with your loved ones, but with just a few extra minutes, you can place it in the oven and add more color to the cheese sauce.
