Independent label Soupstar Music closes its 25th year with a milestone that merges music, culture, and Filipino street style. Its new partnership with global lifestyle brand New Era is at the heart of this celebration. The limited-edition cap launched on November 13, 2025, at Hideout Resto & Bar in Quezon City. More than merchandise, this Soupstar Music New Era collaboration symbolizes two and a half decades of shaping OPM and building creative communities.

The launch gathered Soupstar’s artists, partners, and long-time supporters. Performances from Moonstar88 and HEY JUNE! Brought the night to life, bridging the label’s storied beginning with a new generation ready to carry its legacy forward.

The Story Behind the Soupstar Music New Era Collaboration

For Soupstar Music, reaching twenty-five years is not a finish line. It’s a lived journey of difficult laps, unexpected detours, and meaningful victories. The team shares that they never set rigid expectations in the beginning; instead, they built their path through passion, persistence, and purpose. Looking back, they describe the anniversary as a moment worth honoring—a testament to the hard work that carried them through shifting eras in OPM.

The partnership with New Era came naturally. Soupstar CEO Darwin Hernandez has been a loyal fan of the brand, collecting caps over the years and collaborating with the headwear powerhouse in different events. The idea of a commemorative Soupstar Music New Era cap emerged organically from that history. Hernandez recalls how perfectly the timing aligned, landing on their 25th year—a moment that deserved something tangible and iconic.

During the launch, Moonstar88 and HEY JUNE! Performed sets that framed Soupstar’s evolution. Moonstar88, the first band ever signed to the label, embodied the legacy. HEY JUNE!, a rising act, represented the years ahead. As Hernandez explains, it was a simple gathering of artists and friends, but one shaped by gratitude and forward momentum.

Anniversary Events Building Into the Soupstar Music New Era Celebration

The anniversary festivities extend far beyond the cap release. In partnership with Eton Centris and Redlines Entertainment Production, Soupstar Music is hosting two marquee events this November. Beyond Beats: An Eton Celebration of Music and Gratitude takes place on November 5 at the Eton Centris Activity Center in Quezon City. Later this month, Eton City Thanksgiving will be held on November 29 in Laguna.

Both events spotlight Moonstar88, who also celebrates the 25th anniversary of their hit “Torete.” The band is preparing new material for 2026, adding anticipation to their presence across the anniversary lineup. These events, together with the Soupstar Music New Era release, create a year-end calendar that merges nostalgia and renewal.

A 25-Year Legacy of Championing OPM

Soupstar Music’s journey began with a simple mission: to support Filipino artists with integrity and heart. Over twenty-five years, the label has shaped Original Pilipino Music through its roster of diverse acts. Their lineup includes 6cyclemind, Banda ni Kleggy, Better Days, Gracenote, HEY JUNE!, Imago, Jem, Kiss n’ Tell, Mizael, Moonstar88, Sandwich, Teeth, The Vowels They Orbit, Ultracombo (Raymund Marasigan and Buddy Zabala), and WE GOT.

More than management, Soupstar has built a community. The label has produced concerts, bar tours, mall tours, campus tours, and major corporate events, always meeting audiences where they are. As platforms evolve, the team remains present and collaborative. Hernandez emphasizes their commitment to partnerships and adaptability. In an ever-shifting industry, he believes success begins with openness and shared vision.

The 25th anniversary celebration highlights Soupstar Music’s enduring influence on OPM and its commitment to creative collaboration.

Looking Ahead to the Next Era

As Soupstar Music steps into its next chapter, the vision remains constant. The company will continue releasing music, guiding artists, and providing the support system that has defined its identity. Hernandez reinforces that the label’s purpose is rooted in care and consistency—nurturing talent, maintaining community ties, and staying faithful to the values that built the first 25 years.

The Soupstar Music New Era collaboration represents more than a cap or a commemorative object. It is a marker of longevity, identity, and belonging. It honors everything the label has stood for while pointing toward a new chapter shaped by creativity, collaboration, and cultural pride.

Soupstar Music’s message is simple: the work continues. And after twenty-five years of shaping OPM, the label stands ready for its next era—steady, grounded, and here to stay.
