Owning a home can feel like a far-off goal, especially as property prices and everyday expenses continue to rise. However, new partnerships between the government and private developers are creating more opportunities for Filipino workers to take that step toward homeownership.

Robinsons Land Corporation has joined Pag-IBIG Fund’s growing roster of developer partners under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (Expanded 4PH) Program.

The partnership was formalized on October 5 in Pasig City, coinciding with National Shelter Month. Through the agreement, qualified Pag-IBIG members can access participating homes from Robinsons Land, including ready-for-occupancy units, with preferential pricing and buyer incentives depending on the property and available offers.

Matching Homes With Financing

For Pag-IBIG Fund, the partnership is about bringing together affordable housing options and financing that members can manage.

In June, Pag-IBIG Fund increased its maximum housing loan amount to ₱10 million. This gives middle-income earners more options when looking for a home.

The agency is also offering promotional housing loan rates until the end of 2026. Members can get a rate of 4.5% per year for loans of up to ₱4.9 million, while loans above ₱4.9 million up to ₱10 million have a promotional rate of 5.75%. Both rates are fixed for the first three years.

These financing options can help make monthly payments more manageable, depending on a member’s approved loan amount and financial capacity.

Helping Members Find the Right Home

Beyond financing, the partnership will also provide opportunities for members to explore available Robinsons Land properties through home-matching activities, housing fairs, member briefings, and online promotions.

Members can also receive housing loan counseling and assistance with documentary requirements. This can help prospective homeowners better understand their budget, financing options, and application process.

Loan approval, however, remains subject to Pag-IBIG Fund’s evaluation and existing guidelines.

A Step Toward Homeownership

Robinsons Land President and CEO Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio said the partnership brings together Pag-IBIG’s financing solutions and RLC Residences’ portfolio of homes.

For Pag-IBIG Fund CEO Marilene C. Acosta, the goal is simple: match homes that members can afford with financing that allows them to sustain their monthly payments.

With more developers joining the Expanded 4PH Program, Filipino workers have more opportunities to explore homes that fit both their needs and their budgets.

Ultimately, the partnership reflects a shared effort between the government and private sector to make homeownership a more attainable goal for Filipino families.
