Pancake House has long been a reliable, homey restaurant — a default choice when nothing else seems appetizing, especially when hunger strikes. Interestingly, despite its name, pancakes aren’t always the first thing that comes to mind.
More often, the go-to choices include the creamy tomato soup, made with real tomatoes; the mushroom omelet, generously smothered in ketchup; the cinnamon toast, loaded with raisins; and the spicy chicken, served with brown rice pilaf.
For the youngest in the family, the Best Taco in Town is a favorite, though it tends to be a bit messy to eat. And, of course, there’s the Pan Chicken, a house specialty. The marinade has long been a subject of playful debate: There’s calamansi … but does it have patis?
Excitement ran high when the family discovered a 24-hour branch a short distance from home. The only downside? Occasionally being turned away with a “Closed na po” even before midnight. Still, Pancake House remains a dependable choice, offering exactly what diners expect.
March marks a special occasion for Pancake House, which is celebrating 51 years with the theme “The House That Brings You Home.” A touching ad, available on the brand’s social media pages, features a grandfather reading a letter from his wife and reminiscing about cherished memories they created there.
And here’s something worth noting: birthday celebrants dining in this month receive a free stack of Birthday Pancakes — no minimum purchase required. The offer is valid until March 31.
The restaurant has also introduced three new pancake creations: Choco Banana Bliss with Nutella, Salted Caramel and Cream Cheese, and Sunny Lemon — each available for P189 when dining in.
Other ongoing promotions include the “All-Day Breakfast Choose Any Two” deal, which allows diners to mix and match favorites like Classic Pancakes, Beef Tapa Bowl, and Adobo Sulipan Bowl, served with drinks for P499. This offer is available for dine-in, takeout, curbside pickup and delivery until March 31.
For a lighter meal, the “Choose Any Two Snacks” promo lets customers pick two snacks and two glasses of iced tea for P299. Options include Classic Pancakes, Golden Brown Waffles, and Best Taco in Town, among others. The offer runs through March 31.
Finally, a chance to enjoy pancakes — the restaurant’s namesake — at a discount.
