Prepare for a massive explosion of flavors. Dynamite is a spicy snack that has a juicy inside and a crisp outside, offering you two different textures in one bite. With the addition of cheese, the meaty flavors get a creamy consistency that makes each bite a flavorful experience.

Make sure to remove the seeds if you’re not fond of spice, or scrape them off and add them back in for a spicier kick. After the preparation, you could even freeze it first so you and your loved ones can enjoy it at any time.

Ingredients

Outer Shell:
15 pcs. long green chilies
15 pcs. lumpia wrappers
Filling:
250 g. ground pork
1 pc. red onion
1/2 cup carrot
2 cloves garlic
1/2 pc. red bell pepper
Oil, for frying
Binder and Seasoning:
1 pc. egg
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. sugar
1 cup cheese, grated
Paste:
Water
Flour
Dip:
1 cup mayonnaise
3 Tbsps. tomato ketchup
Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut open the green chilies and scrape out the seeds.
  2. Chop the carrot, onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Put it in the food processor until it has been finely diced. Add it to the bowl with the ground pork. Crack in an egg, then add flour, salt, black pepper, sugar, and cheese. Mix well.
In a pan, heat the oil.
  3. Scoop an ample amount of the filling and stuff the green chilies.
  4. Get the lumpia wrapper and fold one end. Grab one stuffed chili and place it by the edge of the lumpia wrapper.
  5. Roll. Spread some paste on the edges of the lumpia wrapper. Fold the end, then roll. Continue until all the green chilies and lumpia wrapper have been used.
  6. Fry the wrapped green chilies in the heated oil. Make sure to move it around so it cooks evenly. Let it cook until it turns golden.
  7. While the dynamites are cooking. Prepare the sauce. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise and tomato ketchup. Season with pepper and salt.
  8. When the dynamites are cooked, remove it from the pan and place it in a colander to drain the excess oil.
  9. Arrange it on a plate with the sauce. Serve while hot.

When cooking the Dynamite, make sure you don’t crowd the pan so it stays crunchy for a long time, making it a spicy snack that can be enjoyed throughout the day. Listen to the crunch with every bite, enjoy the savory flavor that the filling has to offer, and add all the ingredients you like into the mix to create an even more personalized Dynamite.
