In a Facebook post shared by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila’s (RCAM) Office of Communications, Cardinal Jose Advincula encouraged parishes and communities to organize collective prayers for the health and recovery of Pope Francis.

He suggested gathering parishioners for a Holy Hour dedicated to the healing of the sick, with a special intention for the pontiff. The archbishop of Manila also urged individuals and families to offer personal prayers for the pope’s recovery.
The Holy See Press Office said in a statement that Pope Francis has double pneumonia but “remains in good spirits.”
