Finestra Italian Steakhouse at Solaire Resort Entertainment City is offering a rare opportunity for A Taste of the Rhône: Finestra hosts exclusive wine pairing dinner to explore the wines of France’s Rhône Valley with an exclusive pairing dinner on April 24 at 6 p.m.

The evening features a curated six-course menu from Executive Chef Andrea Spagoni, paired with exceptional selections from the Chapoutier Winery during A Taste of the Rhône: Finestra hosts exclusive wine pairing dinner.

Known for its organic and biodynamic farming practices, Chapoutier Winery is situated in the heart of France’s Rhône Valley. It is internationally recognized for producing wines with character, depth, and a strong sense of place. Each bottle for the evening has been carefully selected by Daniel Blais, sommelier and Solaire’s director of beverage.

Guests will be welcomed with a selection of canapés — beef tartare with egg yolk, cod flakes with dill salad, and cauliflower croquettes — before indulging in a menu inspired by Rhône Valley ingredients.

The culinary journey begins with a delicate lapu-lapu quenelle served with roasted onion gelée and sour cream, paired with the Hermitage White ‘Chante Alouette’ 2020, a wine notable for its subtle aromas of quince, walnut, honey, and ginger.

This is followed by a rustic chicken leg terrine with a grenache reduction and glazed baby carrots, matched with Saint-Joseph ‘Les Granilites’ 2022, offering a well-balanced profile with dark fruit and spice.

A mushroom gratin with camembert, morels, and green olives is served next, complemented by Cornas Les Arènes 2021, which delivers rich notes of blackberry, spice, and morello cherry.

The fourth course presents a creamy chestnut risotto with duck liver sauce and cherry jus, paired with the Hermitage ‘Monier de la Sizeranne’ 2018, known for its round and elegant structure and concentrated tannins.

A main of roasted pork tenderloin with herb mashed potatoes and white asparagus follows, elevated by Châteauneuf-du-Pape ‘Barbe Rac’ 2012, a silky and layered red brimming with raspberry, boysenberry, and blackberry coulis.

The evening concludes on a sweet note with red wine-poached pear, dark chocolate baulois, and vanilla ice cream. This final dish is paired with the Châteauneuf-du-Pape ‘La Bernardine’ 2021, a bold red that enhances the richness of the chocolate and fruit.

This one-night-only dinner offers a taste of French elegance and fine winemaking in a refined and luxurious setting, truly a taste of the Rhône: Finestra hosts exclusive wine pairing dinner set to delight guests.
